what happened to "VISIT SELLERS STORE'????
I've been selling on ebay for over 30 years
I have an ebay store and 1 of the 3 choices on the right side of any listing has always been:
"view sellers store"
It doesn't show up any more on any of my listings!
I hope ebay hasn't changed that! If so then buyers would have to search thru ALL the listings to find what they want!
Any help would be much appreciated
Becky

OP2 years agoIt used to be at the top and now theyve moved it! I had to educate my customers about how to get to my store when it ws on the top of the page! Now they have to look at the very bottom> Since this changed my sales have virtually stopped

·2 years agoI posted about a similar inquiry last week or so ago.
I think the post was titled "is this supposed work this way" or something similar.
The gist of it was when a buyer clicks on one of my listings showing in general search, if they click my Store Logo they are shown a version of my store with gallery view photos and listings (my preferred as the photos are bigger).
If they click one of the links View Items or See Seller's Other Items they are shown a vertical listing of my store inventory just like you see in regular eBay search. Tiny photos and all. On that view there is a link to my store which will show the gallery views.
Also now under my descriptions there are links to my store and a few feedbacks where you have to click "see all feedback" for it to have any history.
My question is: Did eBay inform Buyers that there are now multiple link options to view a seller's store which will produce differing versions?

You're a buyer. Did eBay inform you? My guess is: no. Or if eBay did, it was tucked away in some quarterly update that few users bothered to read closely if at all.
eBay rarely informs users of those sorts of changes. Even for big changes that eBay announces months in advance, many users are seemingly taken by surprise.
eBay may not have finished making changes, and not all users may be seeing the same listing format right now. Many may still see the old format.
Buyers can reach your store by clicking on your username in one of your listings, since eBay combined the profile and store pages. Users that do not have stores now have a similar looking user pages with gallery images as well.
Users that have a strong opinion one way or the other should use the "Tell us what you think" link, the "Feedback" link in the lower right corner of the new listing page, or the "Do you like our store experience?" link on the store page.

·2 years agoI'm seeing it at the top, on the righthand side where it has always been.
There are four links;
save seller
contact seller
visit store
see other items
I also see it at the bottom after your description with the blue button "visit store" link.

Hi Becky
I can still see it when I view an item. I can see your store when I view your site as well.
PS Ebay is only 28 years old. It started September of 1995.

·2 years agoWhen I go to your feedback page, I see the "visit store" text.
There is also the store icon (blue door) that takes me to your store.
And you probably know this already, but you can give people this link...

·2 years ago@inhawaii You still see a blue door when a seller has a store? I thought they took that off a while ago as I haven’t been seeing it.
inhawaii
·2 years agoI see it on my own AND everyone else's.
pjcdn2005
·2 years agoThat’s on the feedback page? I forgot that it was there. I’m sure that there used to be a blue or red door at the top of a sellers listing page. That’s the one that I haven’t seen for a while.

·2 years agoSome sellers are seeing different views. Some views do not show the view store up at the top but there is a link after the description.

OP2 years agoI know but why move it? It puts sellers at a disadvantage!
heckofagame
·2 years agoYup. Right there.
thehappylittlehome
OP2 years agoYES but they moved it to the very bottom of the page which makes it almost impossible for seller to find it.
"VIEW SELLERS ITEMS" makes the customers scroll through all the pages making it difficult to find it.
"VISIT STORE" takes them to my shop all organized into categories
Why did they move it? Why do we pay more for a store if theyre going to bury it on the very bottom of the pages.
Since this happened my sales have virtually stopped. There was no reason to move it

OP2 years agoit used to be right be right below my feedback but now my listings look like this:
Yes it say "sellers other items" but it does not give an opportunity to "view sellers store" . They have moved that all the way to the bottom of the page which makes it difficult for customers to even find. "visit store" lists the items in categories showing them organized into like items. For people that have lots of pages "view sellers other items" comes up with ALL my listings and makes them sift through all my pages.
"Visit Store" used to be right at the top. Why did they move it all the way to the bottom, making it even more difficult to find. We pay more to have an ebay store...it should be easier to find than at the very bottom of the page! (sometimes having to go past the ads!) Why did they even move it? It certainly doesn't help the customer find what they want AND is certainly not an advantage for the sellers!
Someone said on another thread that its always been that way. It has NOT been that way on my pages! I check my store every day and use the "view store" to see how my store looks to customers. It dissapeared about 2 weeks ago and I only a few days later found they moved it to the very bottom of the page! Ebay makes changes sometimes just to test things. Which leads me to believe that experiment and change the layout on certain areas just to see how everyone liked it. I DO NOT!

·2 years agoIf you do not see a store link in the Seller Information, your buyers can either use the link further down the page or else simply click on your username to reach your store.
eBay has combined the old profile page with the store page, so that using the username profile link will lead to the store page. If a seller does not have a store, that link will go to a user page that looks similar to a store page but lacks some of the features like custom categories.
