What happened to Discount Manager?
3/6, Friday, I always have a new sale. No place to do a sale listing? Has it been discontinued?
They make the Iranian regime look like saviors. However, I am sure they will roll out a new feature that they will charge for that will be a new and improved feature.

·6 months agoIts still technically in the same location its been for years, they just recently removed the link from the "Selling Tools" section of the Seller Hub. You can find it by hovering over "Marketing" and then clicking "Discounts". Here is a link as well: https://www.ebay.com/sh/mktv2/promotionmanager/dashboard
If you want to add it to your "Shortcuts" on the Seller Hub you can. Click the "Gear" button at the right corner of the "Shortcuts" section. Copy and paste the link above into "eBays URL". Then in "Link Text" you can name it whatever you want such as "Discounts" or "Discount Manager".

Hey Guys, now that I'm clear where it's "missing" from, I reached out to the Seller Hub team b/c I suspected it was an intentional change & it is. You may have noticed that that screen has had a few changes to it in the last year or so & this was just another one of those changes. Here's the complete info:
"We did indeed just remove the Discount Manager link in preparation for some other changes that are coming, but also because we’re working to simplify Seller Hub Overview since so many sellers complain how overwhelming it is. Very few sellers made us of that Discounts Manager link that was on Overview."
A shortcut to the way I told you above is just to hover on the Marketing Tab & the Discounts option will come right up. That will take you to the same location I posted above. Of course, you can also go to help & type in Discounts as well, it's the first thing in the response.
Additionally, "the Seller Hub team acknowledges that change is difficult, and we recognize that there are sellers who were relying on that link to get to the Discounts tool. Ideally, sellers will use the Seller Hub navigation to find the various pages and tools within Seller Hub and not have to rely on duplicate links that are on Overview".
@kyle@ebay this was an intentional change so not sure why there would be an alert. Reach out to me privately if you want more info.

OP6 months agoSo, no alert because it was intentional. So, if someone changes the route
home for you or to work, no need for an alert? It is called a "courtesy"
so one does absorb any discomfort or anxiety when the normalcy of
routine is interrupted. How about if you go to the airport and they change
your gate intentionally and don't tell you. Your reply speaks volumes.

·6 months ago@jonathanbrightlight Oh gosh, thank you, I didn't even catch that @twogood2b4u2 was referring to that & I thought they were just angry at me for getting an answer that they didn't like LOL & I must admit I was a bit dismayed at going through the trouble to get the correct answer to have them get mad at me for it. Twogood, Jonathan is correct, I was just letting Kyle know that that it's not a bug, that's all. eBay makes lots of changes I don't like or agree with, but I have no control over what they choose to do. Luckily, this is easily navigated to via Seller Hub.

·6 months ago@twogood2b4u2 That screen has undergone a number of changes recently, none of which were announced. I didn't change the screen, I'm just letting you know the correct answer. No need to shoot the messenger. But to be honest no, when I drive on the roads & a detour arises, no one has let me know in advance.
Regardless I did make that team aware of this thread & others, so that they know that people are upset by the change. I simply wanted the correct answer to be posted b/c there was confusion as to whether it was a bug & I knew it probably wasn't, so I went to the people who know and got the answer for you. You're welcome. I understand you don't like it, but I did not create the answer, I am simply conveying it. Believe me, eBay has made many changes that I don't like. That doesn't mean I don't want to understand how it works now.

·6 months ago@stainlessenginecovers The team who is in charge of that page actually tracks the metrics of every single feature & this one was not used frequently in comparison to others, that's what they're saying.
This is actually done for many pages, as I learned when I lost one of my most-used feature on a totally different page & different team. It just means that relatively few people use the feature on the page. I can completely understand your frustration b/c one of my favorite features was removed the same way & for the same reason. The difference is that mine has absolutely no other way to accomplish the same task, it was removed completely. In this case, they didn't take the feature away, it's still on SH, the way it's been for years, so it is still easily accessible, you just have to access it from SH, not from the landing page.

·6 months agoHappened to me 3 days ago. I can now only find it on seller hub under marketing tab. I thought I was just missing it...thanks eBay for taking away an essential link and hiding it

·6 months ago@natoman777 where specifically were you using it from? The link under the marketing tab has been there for ages, that is not new. Were you using it from your Seller Hub Overview? I'm trying to figure out where it went 'missing' from, so I can check into it.

·6 months agoThere are three sellers with the same problem on the same day. Whatever the answer, eBay should be aware that "many" sellers cannot find the option.
This gives eBay an opportunity to correct the problem

·6 months agoGotcha. But there is no problem. It IS where it's been for years. I went & checked before writing the exact location b/c I didn't want to get one of the click names wrong. I think the reason this comes up from time to time is b/c people who sold long ago come back & try to sell again & the function is not where it used to be before. I could be wrong b/c there are always multiple ways to navigate to anything in eBay, but this particular functionality is right where it's been for years & seems to be working, though I didn't actually start a sale b/c I just started a different kind of discount. That's my take on it anyway.

·6 months ago@simply-the-best-for-you I think what is being said here is that this feature has had---up until very recently--- at least two locations, A and B. It is now only at A, it is no longer at B. So, you are correct when you say it has been at A a long time, but it has also been at B a long time, and is now longer there. And, instead of an announcement of this change, or a little pop up explaining the change, ebay as usual, has said nothing.

·6 months ago@my-cottage-books-and-antiques Yes, that's a possiblity & I was wondering that too, but if there IS another place, IDK where it is & the only one who has mentioned any other place is Stainless, however the place Stainless mentioned has been customizable for years & not everyone had it there to begin with, for example I don't & most sellers I know customized that screen. Do you have any idea where this 'other' location might be? We've always seen this question & it always seems to be people who had left for a long time & come back. It DOES seem odd that there are 3 threads today (I only saw 2 but Stamps mentioned 3) , but I certainly believe there could have been another location, as most every function on eBay can be accessed mulitple ways.

·6 months ago@stainlessenginecovers Nope what? I don't know what part you're disagreeing with as you quoted the location I gave & that location is 100% correct. The Selling Tools & all the blocks on the landing page are DIFFERENT for everyone! They were customizable for YEARS & many people heavily customized them (I did), so I & many others do NOT have that functionality under Selling Tools on the landing page. In fact, maybe you customized your page to include it. Hard to remember what the blocks originally had since they've been customizable for so long. When that page recently changed, we were left with whatever we had customized it to. So, some people may have it there & others don't. The way I posted is the actual way to navigate there, that is the same for EVERYONE & doesn't rely on how you did or didn't customize your landing page blocks.
Additionally, as I said, PRIOR to SH existing it resided somewhere else, hence Pick's reference to moving it. If memory serves me right it was in the Store functions b/c you had to have a store to use it.

I know I did NOT customize my SellerHub or any of the boxes at all and it was always in the box 'Selling Tools' (which makes sense and where it should be) for as long as 'seller hub' was created.

The link I posted has been the new location for years & I knew that hadn't changed, but I always know that there may be multiple ways to get to any function. There usually is.
Good to know that you didn't customize the landing page, cuz that tells us that may be where the others saw their link go away. But yes, that page has been customizable for years & I can't test it b/c I must have customized that option right off of mine. If one of the others would chime in with where they feel it's missing, I may know who to ask. But yeah, that landing page has not changed for quite awhile, however since everyone's may be different, that doesn't tell us much. To be clear, you're saying it has disappeared from your Seller Hub Overview page, is that correct? B/C it certainly IS possible that they've decided to make that page more uniform. It's a page that's seen recent changes (a few months ago).
