What you are selling is not desirable to anyone in the whole world on that day. But your items are desirable to the world on the other days of the year.

What I really want to know is: What did you do on the 18th (a Tuesday, a day, and date, that basically NOBODY gets paid) did you manage to get your BEST sales of the month?
As far as 'fishy'- I'm thinking that since Hawaii is a group of islands, most of which you can transverse in a few short hours, so most all is surrounded by the Ocean which is FULL of fish.......

My mom made pot roast on Thursday.
Sales always seem to increase when she makes pot roast.
Lots of other posts on here also talking about the same thing. Good luck.
No. They're actually not. The other posters are talking about PL Impressions dropping by 1/2, around these dates. OP does NOT use PL's, so this is NOT the same thing we are discussing in other threads, as I've already pointed out in another post.
This is the graph I see everyday, no joke. No matter what I do or what buttons I press, Ebay only shows me this graph. I'm starting to think either the Ebay goblins or Cassini doesn't like me.
I don't notice this kind of thing because it is an example for me every GD day! lol 0-3 sales per week. Really wonder how many out there have such a decline over SEVERAL months? Almost 2 years for me now. People say the sellers who come here to complain are the ones who post items that "no one wants" while everyone else is doing quite fine. How many, with horrible sales, just leave eBay without coming here to complain or announce it? In comparison to those who stay because they sell fairly steadily.
Unfortunately, this is a case of eBay’s secretive Department of Seller Compliance deciding to give you a unsubtle warning for posting numerous unapproved sarcastic messages in these community forums. I hope you learned your lesson!! <waving pointed index finger>
@inhawaii Thanks. Then I can almost unequivocally say that your no-sale day on the 16th, had nothing to do with what is being discussed in so many threads, b/c we are talking about PL impressions. You don't have any PL impressions to have drastically dropped 🙂 So, you most likely, just had a random, no sale day.
@ten_o_nine I use the graph that shows daily, but yeah, 94K went to 41K. Though not over 31 days, like you posted. In 2 days. For most people it happened on the 16th, for me it was the 18th. You might find this thread interesting, esp the update that @valueaddedresource just posted.
I know you're being sarcastic, but the 16th is actually the day that many user's PL Impressions were cut in 1/2. Mine included, but mine happened on the 18th. Not just a typical drop, for me that's a drop of almost 50K impressions, which is a REALLY big deal, esp since it is affecting so many & Ebay will not respond about what on earth is going on, despite numerous asks. Impressions that are more or less steady for months at a time, do not suddenly drop by 50%, at the same time, for many people.
This has happened 2 other times in the past 6 months or so & both times Ebay came back & said it was a 'reporting error' or 'lag in reporting data'. This time, mum's the word.
I'm glad it's not affecting you, but it's real & it's serious.
Right, I do get that. But I think you believe it was just a random no sales day. Which it *may* have been, we'll never know. But starting on the 16th, there was a serious issue affecting many sellers that suddenly created 50% drops in PL impressions. That's a huge & drastic drop & it's the 3rd one in recent memory & there is radio silence coming from Ebay on it. It's a big deal to those affected.
I checked mine... kinda curious (although I almost never look at stats, we don't pay attention day in and day out if stuff sold, I just pay attention to how many orders are being packed).
July 16 was my best day of the entire month of July. Lots of deals happen on Sundays in my store due to auctions ending on Sundays, so it's fair to say the buyers are all repeat buyers that regularly shop on Sundays.

OP3 years agoA perfectly logical explanation.
About as logical as many other posts here. 😉

·3 years agoYou hit the trifecta on that day, well done.
1. Pre Christmas lull
2. The economy was bad that day
3. your switch was turned off
You simply need to renew all of your images and descriptions, and create 500 new listings and tomorrow will be better.

Also the 100th anniversary of the opening of King Tut's tomb.
Probably too many potential eBay buyers out celebrating both events, and didn't have time to visit your site.
Or maybe not.

OP3 years agoThat can't be!
Everything I sell is "hot sellers".

No, it's gotta be something ebay was/is doing.
