What are precautions need to be taken with respect to identify correct buyers and payment
Hi all
I have just started selling on Ebay and I get good response
I have below question with respect to buyers validation and payment for the product we sell on ebay
1: how to identify fake buyers is there any tool from ebay to track verification of buyers is it fake or trustworthy to ship products
2: can we validate address of usa based buyers
3: when Buyers pays is it 100% safe to ship or still there is risk of paying back refund
if so what is time needed after we ship product
if some one gives detailed answer will be appreciated
4: when I sell product how much time it takes to receive our money in bank
as I do drop shipping from europe so there is transfer of currency involved shipping charges so homch should we quote price if product cost manufacture cost 50$ shipping and handling is 10 $ now please suggest so that if we deduct tax of 25% and currency differences etc what should be price to customer
please send your answers point wise so it will be helpful for all sellers
advance thanks

EBay does not directly provide any tools to validate/verify buyers. There are a number of independent websites that have a list of known problem buyers and scammers but the last time I posted a link to those it was removed but they are not that hard to find. Best to follow some of the advice already given to protect yourself as much as you can.
2: can we validate address of usa based buyers Already answered.
3: when Buyers pays is it 100% safe to ship or still there is risk of paying back refund
As others stated you need to read and fully understand the eBay money back guarantee as well as the terms and conditions around credit card chargebacks.
if so what is time needed after we ship product

You will have to figure out your own pricing based on understanding the eBay fees, your countries income taxes and operating expenses. Drop shipping is VERY risky and most don't last long first because it is in violation of the eBay policy but secondly because you are considered the seller and are responsible for the delivery of the product and handling any returns, which will come to you not back to the supplier. If the supplier is out of stock or late in shipping the item it's on you not the supplier. Damaged or lost items are your responsibility not the suppliers.

·2 years agoDoesn't sound like you're ready to try dropshipping yet?
If a buyer pays through Pay Pal or a credit card, they can file for a refund for 6 months or more.
Starting out, they can hold your funds for 30 days.
As far as pricing, you'll have to figure that part out.

·2 years agoThe answers to most of your questions are included in the information that eBay publishes for sellers and that information should be read by all sellers BEFORE they begin selling.
In addition, would encourage you to read the Money Back Guarantee for buyers so that you'll understand what buyers can do if they feel a transaction has gone wrong.

OP2 years agoI think your first point is known to everyone
and I already gone through policies of ebay
so only I got approval
this question to all those who can explain in their experience with dealing with customers at personal level
I hope you understand my points

·2 years agoThere is no way to "verify" buyers. Buyers cannot be given negative FB, so all buyers will have a perfect record.
Although you state that you've read everything, seems like you may have missed a few points.

Hello and welcome...
Here are some red flags to watch out for:
1. Buyer asks for your email address, Paypal address-They don't need your address, they can pay thru paypal via eBay.
2. Buyer sends you a phone number to text/call him/her-Don't do it
3. Buyer asks you to buy gift cards to go with the order-Definitely don't do it
4. Buyer asks you to send the item to a different address after paying-Ship to the address that is on your invoice, no other
5. Buyer wants you to send the item overnight/express and will pay you a lot extra to do this-Yeah, right 🙄
6. Buyers says that they cannot pay through the eBay website and sends you a link to click on so that the payment will go through-Scam attempt
7. Buyer offers more for your item than the price you have it listed for-No they won't
Keep these things to watch for in mind and put them in your mental rolodex should any of them come into play.
Best of luck & Happy Selling

·2 years agoI already gave you this answer
If the item is bought and paid for, and ebay says OK to ship, it does not matter if it's "the man in the moon"....you ship
there is no "tool"
as far as determing a pricing model, that's up to you....above my pay grade

The buyer is verified when they pay you and you receive notice of payment and time to ship. Not sure what you mean about a fake buyer. I don't think there is such a thing. Buyers pay, you ship. Easy.
