Well, OK ebay, I give you credit for honesty here LOL
This is from the Ads Team's blog post: https://www.ebayads.com/2023/09/13/2023-ebay-ads-holiday-guide/
Yep, if I use ebay ads, I will almost certainly end up spending more with ebay than I planned...Thanks for being honest about that, ebay!

That is hilarious...but true! I just jacked up my PLS dynamic rate to a 12% cap.

OP2 years agoJust to be clear---The last line in the screenshot is what I'm talking about: "SELLERS will spend more than they plan to". It's pretty clear, if you go and read the rest of the blog post, they meant to say "BUYERS will spend more"....
So, it's unintentional honesty---if we use the ads, we'll be the ones spending more...on ebay FEES.

·2 years agoI still believe shoppers are frugal as ever these days and will do their research and just not buy the first thing that pops up in search because it was a promoted listing and moved to the top.
There may be some buyers who don't care about price (just get and be done mentality). That is what I call the wealthy and / or someone who will write it off as a possible business expense. Who knows!
What I always worry about is the drunk buyer who buys and then regrets and wants to return.
I will keep my listings old school. I spend a lot of time with photos & details and hope that labor pays off rather than paying even more just to be in the top view search.
