·5 months agoGo to YouTube and look up Justin Sells interview with the GameStop CEO. Quite eye opening. Note Ryan started Chewy and has refreshed GameStop. His opinion on eBay are quite interesting!

·5 months agoHis listings are certainly, uh, interesting. A pair of socks currently bid up to almost $15,000. A hat bid up to over $4600 with 6 days still to go. I have no idea if this is people messing with him or legitimate bidders basically donating to his takeover effort.

OP5 months ago@jameshen1 Probably legitimate bidders. Gamestop is a meme stock, and the CEO has tons of fans who are convinced he is a business genius.....I imagine many of them see these items---with their signed letters---as sound investments that will increase in value, especially if he is successful in his takeover bid.

I'm guessing it was a standard automated action, which honestly kind of makes it worse - eBay should have had someone babysitting that account personally to avoid the public attention.
