Weird Refund/Cancellation Requests Happening More
I am still pretty new with this whole selling on eBay thing, but I have noticed that in the last couple months the cancellation/refund rate is now becoming a bit more consistent. These orders come in, and within a few hours are cancelled. It hasn't made up a majority of my sales (thankfully), but it just seems weird that it started happening with one specific product.
One refund due to "wrong shipping method" (Nov. 7) | "Placed by Mistake" x3 (Nov.4 | Oct.1 | Sep.7) | One gave no reason to the refund (Sep.15).
Just seemed weird, but it is annoying that it has cost me $11.89 just in fees to refund an order that never shipped in the first place. Just needed to vent since there should be some extra safeguard to put on buying. This product that keeps being returned, it literally says "READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BUYING" since it isn't what some people think it is. And they still buy it? It is just annoying to have to pay a fee for someone not being able to read.

If you purchased shipping labels prior to cancelling the orders, are you voiding those labels in order to get the refund for them?

·1 year agoWhere are you seeing that it’s costing you $11.89 in fees? If a buyer files a formal cancellation request (which can only happen before you ship the item) and you accept that cancellation, you should get your final value fees and insertion fees (if any) refunded back to you. I think you also get your promoted listing fees refunded to you too.
Are you spending extra money on premium listing services that don’t get refunded or something?
