"We had a concern with buyers acccount"
Summary: The discussion centers on a concern with a buyer's account where payments for items are on hold despite the items being shipped. emeraldpokez raises this issue, questioning the implications when buyers have already paid but funds are not yet released. The conversation involves multiple participants but does not provide detailed resolutions or additional information.
We understand that this must be disappointing, but unfortunately the buyer, XXXX is no longer registered on eBay so we had to cancel all of their open transactions.
- Don’t complete the sale or ship the item to XXXX if you haven’t done so yet.
- Don’t communicate any further with XXXX, especially if they get in touch with you outside of eBay.
- If XXXX requests a payment or refund, don’t send any money without contacting eBay first. If payment was processed, a refund has not been issued yet just in case you’ve already shipped the item.
- If you already sent the item, contact the shipper to find out if you can stop the delivery and have the item returned to you.
- If your listing has ended, you can relist your item.
Since this email the buyer has opened an item not received claim while sending me messages saying "Ebay says it's ok to ship the item now..." While Ebay hasnt said anything to me. This is the first time I can ever recall getting this message from ebay and I'm quite annoyed that following what they told me is why my sales have dipped. It's just really annoying that I'm put in this situation when I'd much rather have just mailed the item or refunded the money. ANY SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED

·4 months agoIf the buyer is no longer registered, and ebay is telling you this, there is no way he is contacting you, at least through ebay messages. If he is contacting you through your regular email, do not respond. He is attempting to take the transaction off the ebay platform, and if you send anything, you will lose any ebay seller protection.
Do as ebay informed you to do in the message they sent you. Do not respond to who ever is messaging you and do not send the item. Do not refund, if the buyer is due a refund, ebay will take care of it.
if the buyer is no longer registered, as ebay says, don't worry about negative feedback, they can't leave you feedback.
Be proactive, and be careful because there is a reason this person is no longer registered on ebay, even though ebay doesn't give you the exact reason.

·1 month agoWhat if the buyers already paid for the item but the fund is currently on hold and the item has been shipped?

·4 months agoHave you tried looking at the buyer's profile? Go to the order and click on the buyer's username - it's a link and it will take you to a profile page. I'm thinking that the system will clearly say whether or not the buyer is a registered user or not.

·4 months agoHave you shipped the item yet? If not, which I think is what I’m understanding from your post, just hold onto it for now, but you probably will want to cancel the order and relist it. Any dip in your sales is unrelated to this, btw, so don’t be concerned about that.
If you have shipped it, you can usually just forget about the whole thing. eBay won’t take the money back from you, and it likely will be delivered and you’ll never have anything else to worry about with that order. I know the message is a bit alarming, but many of us have had that same message and it’s almost never an issue for us.

·4 months agoThat's a standard email from eBay.
The buyer's no longer registered so
"Since this email the buyer has opened an item not received claim "
Was this before the buyer was NARU or is the claim through Paypal or a chargeback through their bank ?
It 'may' be a scammer (possible stolen CC or scam freight forwarder ?) and IF it's the .925 Sterling Silver Assorted Utensil Lot -606 Grams $1,100.00, don't even think about shipping it !

OP4 months agono it was something I sold for $150

·4 months agoYou received an EMAIL to that effect?
That might not be legit from ebay.
That said if the buyer paid for the item and there is now an open INR case you might be in a tight spot, there may still be time to ship it but with that case open your time to confirmed delivery is limited and if it goes over the deadline you're refunding one way or another.
Maybe just issue the refund from within the case, or are we already past that as well?
I'm a bit confused here, I'm not sure how much time has lapsed and whether the buyer paid for the item or what all has gone on...

OP4 months agoThe buyer paid right away. It was a BIN listing and the case is still pending. I'd love to give a refund. The buyers Ebay ID was in the email (i just replaced it with XXXX) so I have to assume it's legit?
