Watching items for years "career watchers"
As I read through many posts, there always are always many stories of slow sales. Personally, I think eBay needs to put their foot down on "career watching" items and limit the time a potential buyers can watch an item. As we all know, career watchers will never buy anyway but this is getting ridiculous! Buyers should only be allowed to "watch" an item up to 60-days (90 max). It simply does not take buyers that long to decide on an item. Buyers are just trying to force sellers to lower their prices. This really is not fair to us smaller sellers that make up a great portion of eBay. Communities go out of their way to help small sellers but it seems eBay is not on board and is not doing anything about this. Is eBay trying to be like some major retailers? I had ended all listings and relisted as 'sell similar' (changing title) with watched items to wake up with watchers again. I'm sure they are the same people (not buyers) and even have a pic with sign posted "item is final sale with no further markdown" and they still watch! Had changed listings from BIN to OBO (cause they weren't buying) and we are not even getting offers, just watchers! I have had one of these items for 4-years! We are reducing our inventory to move and have posted as such, yet there are watchers again. Are you kidding! Can't fix stupid!

·3 years agoit should be 30 days , then after that the item drops off the watcher list. I've had it with watchers that watch for the end of time .It would help If ebay would let us delete items from our SEND OFFERS lists , but no sellers are not allowed to do that !

If you want to end listings with sent offers you can. eBay doesn’t have a policy against that.
If you want to be rid of watchers then end the listings that have them, then relist. problem solved.
