Want to increase sales for my clothing items
I used to be a shopaholic, and over the years I have bought A LOT of items and now have storage units. I have noticed that my sales have slowed in the last two years (especially international sales) and I want to sell my items much quicker than I am currently selling them. In the past I used to sell at least 1-3 items a day, but now I’m struggling to sell one item a week.
I have tried promoted listings, vouchers, free postage, sales etc and these have had a minimal impact. I am aware the landscape of selling on eBay has changed since the removal of selling fees for private sellers and also the US tariffs (50% of my custom was from USA). I’m also aware that my items are high value - and the clothing category is extremely saturated. However, I don’t want to sell too low. My items are either gently Preloved or new and my goal is to just sell all my items as I’m not acquiring anymore.
I would really appreciate advice (or a coach) on what I can be doing to increase my sales.
I have thousands of items to sell and I’d like to get down to one storage unit by the end of the year. What do people recommend? My dream would be to sell at least 70-100 items a week. I know it can be possible: I just need to know what I need to do and how to do it! Thanks in advance.

·5 months agoYour sell through rate is excellent so it looks like your pricing is okay. It's not clear where, or to whom, your items are selling. The U.S. market may be tougher, but that may not matter as your items clearly do sell.
So, the obvious solution here would be to list. You're certainly not going to meet your goal without at least that number of listings (you can't sell 70-100 items a week if you only have 35 items up for sale). Bottom line, get cracking and get em up so you can sell them.
If certain items seem to be taking longer than others, adjust your prices accordingly.

·5 months agoIf you have that much inventory & your goals are set that high, You really need to list a lot more & constantly on a daily basis, The more you offer the more likely an item will sell, Good Luck!

·5 months agoLet me start off by saying that I'm not a pro and I have not been selling 70-100 items a week, so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt.
With that said, I think you should do some research. I just randomly clicked on 3 of your listings:
-Moschino McDonalds Dress: none are showing sold in the last 90 days
-Adidas Farm Rio Kimono Jacket: 8 have sold in the last 90 days, all but one were priced lower than yours.
-All Saints Jolanta Waistcoat: 1 is showing sold in the last 90 days
*I just typed the item into the search bar filtered to Sold
The point I'm making is that you are selling a lot of unique and/or designer items that aren't 'regular' or 'everyday' purchases for most people. So I think it might be unrealistic to want to sell 70-100 a week.
I agree with the other posters that you should get as many listed as possible because they can't sell if they aren't listed.

·5 months agoIt's good that you're well aware that used clothing is one of the most heavily saturated categories on eBay and that has only increased in the last few years.
Measurements are important. Your potential buyers notice that. They won't take the time to ask you the measurements, but will just move on to another listing.

·5 months agoThis is the US board, so we still have fees. Maybe the UK board would have more appropriate advice, but the one thing I will say is you need to get lots more the items listed if you want to sell that many items weekly.

·5 months agoYou are in the UK,this board is primarily US sellers.....might get more specific advice there.....in general tho:
You only have 35 items listed..........the more you list, the better chances of people buying.
You have no measurements that I could see in your items. Here in the US, sizes vary greatly....putting measurements (using both inches and centimeters) probably would help sell.
