Vintage NYPD & NYFD Patches & Memorabilia - Against eBay Policy
I had an auction for a lot of NYPD patches - different divisions that my father collected over the years. He was a retired NYPD Seargent and US Navy Veteran. As soon as the auction ended, I had a nice amount of bids - eBay deleted the post stating it's against eBay policy. I read the policy and while it does make sense about people possibly using items to pretend that they are with law enforcement, I see so many other people with these items posted. The funny and ironic thing about this is that my father bought about 90% of his patches, pins, hats, other items from EBAY! Has this happened to anyone else? I am curious if anyone has been successful in selling these items. Thanks, Bon

OP3 years agoExactly!! I don't understand it. If it's an enforced policy, then everyone should be flagged. I got the same message with threats also that they will shut down my eBay account.

·3 years agoI listed a German preWW2 shooting club pin that had a swastika on it. It was flagged by ebay and they made all kinds of threats if I relisted it. NO Nazi stuff. Ebay has THOUSANDS of Nazi medals, uniforms ,books, excet. glorifying Nazism live now on line. What's the deal?
