View Counts on Seller Dashboard

Is anyone else getting total views of an auction, as listed on their Selling section of the Seller Dashboard, that sometimes go down? I've had 120 views go down to like 98 recently and don't understand how that is happening. You can't unview an auction. I want to know how many people have viewed my auction. Nothing more, nothing less. I was trying to figure out how to install my own view counter like I did several years ago, but can't figure it out. Do I have to put in the raw HTML code?

Views are displayed on a rolling 30 day basis, if you using the Seller Hub, click on the View Number and you will be shown the View History for the life of the listing.

In most cases when you list an item you get a "bunch" of views, the longer the listing is active the number of views in the past 30 days will tend to decline, that is what you are seeing.

Views are only counted for the last 30 days.

Views drop off after 30 days.
