I’m so disappointed in USPS shipping ground advantage with eBay. It may not be eBay‘s fault, but the shipping receiving dates are highly inaccurate. eBay should offer accurate services from other shippers for around the same price.

Estimates are just that - estimates. Nothing is set in stone.

EBay doesn't set shipping rates.

·4 months agoThis is a carrier issue not Ebay. Ebay can't offer services from other shipping at the same price because each carrier charges different prices. USPS Ground Advantage is an affordable service. Personally I haven't really had an issue with it. Yes some packages take longer to get to a location than others. That could happen because of multiple reasons for a delay as in seller handling time, weather, missent package, and even location going from coast to coast. If the package is running behind Ebay will notify you of an update from the carrier.

·4 months agoebay's estimated delivery windows is based upon your performance as a seller.
looks like you have only had a couple sales in the recent past, that does not give the system enough information to give a accurate delivery window. when you are consistent and sell more the estimate is more accurate.
It may also help buyers to have a better idea of how long shipping takes by stating a handling time in your listings.

·4 months ago@dadebrito The delivery date range eBay shows you are estimates. Those dates are not exact and they aren't meant to be. Your order may come during the range, earlier or later. Many would agree with you that the dates are often unrealistic. Some sellers compensate for this by having an extended handling time. In other words, some sellers will have a handling time of 3 days, but mail the next day. This way the range of dates given is a little closer to the truth because the seller shipped earlier than the handling time eBay factors in.
You have to remember, eBay cannot predict what might happen when a package is enroute to you. Severe weather, sick carriers, vehicle breakdowns, and more can cause packages to be delayed. That's going to be the case for any carrier, not just USPS.
If you find a certain carrier is faster for your area, you have a few options. You can only shop sellers who offer the carrier you want. You could also message a seller and ask them to ship a certain carrier before you make your purchase. USPS is often cheaper than FedEx and UPS, you may have pay up for one of those other carriers or upgrade your service if you need something PDQ.
Keep in mind, if the last date in the delivery range passes and you still do not have you rorder, then on the next day you can open an Item Not Received case. The seller will then have 3 business days to respond. If they do not respond or their response is not one you like, you may ask eBay to step in on the 4th business day.

A bit off topic but I did note this statement of yours that I see on the boards all the time.
'Keep in mind, if the last date in the delivery range passes and you still do not have you rorder, then on the next day you can open an Item Not Received case. The seller will then have 3 business days to respond. If they do not respond or their response is not one you like, you may ask eBay to step in on the 4th business day.'
I'm not sure that this is correct. Recently had an INR for something I bought. Indeed, the day after the last estimated date I was able to file a case. It appears the seller did not respond. Even though I waited 3 days after the case was filed, ebay won't let me have them step in for another 7 days. The statement of having ebay step in on the 4th business day appears to not be correct.
