USPS changed the delivery address to another state.
The package was to be sent to Ca from SC. It got out to CA. The address was then changed to send it to Rock Hill SC and it is now looping from Rock Hill to Charlotte, because Charlote is going by the tracking number address and Rock Hill is actually looking at the address on the package. I talked to fraud at USPS. They don,t seem to be too concerned about the address change even though they can see it has been changed. I have nothing to do with Rock Hill SC.

Has the buyer opened INR yet?

OP4 months agoNo. He is watching the tracking to see if it ever heads his way.

·4 months agoI experienced the same problem in 2024. The postal clerk in my city, a telephone person and the clerk in the small town of origination all attempted to move the item from Florida to New Mexico; all failed. The buyer was patient, but after 5 wks., I refunded his $7 DVD and accepted this was part of business.

OP4 months agoMy item is over a hundred dollars , but I am assuming nobody ever saw it again. Is that right?

OP4 months agoI know my Ca address is on the package because Rock Hill keeps sending it back to Charlotte to go to CA. I know the tracking number is stating a specific address on it in Rock Hill because the post office guy read me the address on the tracking number and was rather unpleasant about me having a problem with it until he realized I knew nothing about that address.

·4 months agoAnother possibility is that it is simply been misrouted several times.
Are you certain that there is a different physical address on the package than what your tracking numbers shows?
Once about a year ago I shipped a package that was supposed to get at Greensboro North Carolina now I am close to Winston Salem this literally should have been there the next day.
The problem is it did not receive a carrier scan so the system did not know how to route it properly at first and it ended up going all the way around the country literally went to California Washington Oklahoma all of these different states and it was actually kind of funny.
Do you think that's a possibility?

·4 months agoIf you’re the Buyer, it’s possible the Seller requested a “package intercept” for some reason, and the package is being returned to the sender in South Carolina. Other than that, I’ve never heard of USPS changing a delivery address.

·4 months agoThis is weird - however, recently, another seller lost a package because their label rolled off of the package in transit and applied itself to someone else's package.
The label and incorrect package ended up in Washington state.
It could be that another label from another package has affixed itself in processing to your package which is showing this odd routing issue now - this is generally caused when PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) labeling is used as opposed to taping all four sides.
Before assuming fraud, imagine the mechanics of packages jostling and moving down automated lines and how much more likely it is that your package has latched on to a lost label.

OP4 months agoWell everyone agrees that my tracking number is to be shipped to Rock Hill
emieo
OP4 months agoThat is everyone at USPS who checks my tracking number

·4 months agoI would bet that the scenario I proposed above is exactly what has happened.
You have some stray label that has attached itself to your package and it has a different address on it.
What a mess
emieo
OP4 months agoBut the stray label would have its tracking number on it.

·4 months agoSorry -- cannot tell if you're the seller or the buyer.
If you are the buyer, and the last estimated delivery date has passed, you can open an INR case.
If you are the seller, please return and let us know what you've done so far and if you've contacted your buyer.
Thank you.

OP4 months agoI'm the seller. I ship a lot and have talked to many people at USPS, the Rock Hill post office , the buyer, etc. Nobody at USPS seems concerned or that it is even unusual. This package is one thing, but the whole problem is another.
