USING SUBJECT AND THEME
Hi, First of all I would like to thank the community members who respond to all the questions posted here. You are the best part of selling on eBay. Absolutely amazing and such an important help. As for my question. Trying to reduce the time listing an auction. I use city, subject and theme. If I put all 3 in the title do I still have to add it to these 3. Trying to build up my bidder base. I pay the $2.49 to promote so many listings I have to stop. Not selling enough to cover it. And now. I have no idea why eBay is doing it. The city, subject and theme use to be in the same location. Now they switch up and move all over the form making me look in different places on each auction. Really appreciate any help. Best wishes and have a great day. Thank you

·2 years agoHi @findakeepa and welcome.
Though it may seem redundant, for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), it is a best practice to include pertinent keywords in each section of the listing format: title, Item Specifics and Description field. Each section plays a role in attaining preferential Search placement.
I appreciate your wanting to streamline the listing process so as to list more at a faster rate. But i would find another solution rather than sacrifice quality for quantity.
One solution would be to convert more listings to fixed-price (perhaps adding Immediate payment Required) from the auction format. Looking at your Completed listings, the vast majority of those items sold are done so with a single bid. That indicates your items would do well at fixed price.
Auctions are time-suctions. Fixed price listings only require one to be set up once, no more fiddling with non-payments or 7- day turn-arounds and relisting. Use auctions for the scarcer available yet high-in-demand goods.
Best of luck to you!!
Your feedback is exemplary. Good job!!

·2 years agoI assume you are talking about the item specifics in whatever category you are listing in.
Titles are unstructured data - eBay and the buyers can see the words, but they do not know what the word means. For example, the word 'Smith' could be a town, a college, an occupation, a brand, or a person's name.
Item specifics are structured data - eBay and the buyers can see the words AND know what the word means. For example, the word 'Smith' in the 'Brand' item specific means the brand is Smith, in the College item specific means Smith College, etc.
When a buyer searches and gets hundreds or thousands of results, eBay uses the item specifics to provide the buyer with filters along the left hand side. to help them filter the results down to specifics like Brand or Town or College or Occupation.
If you do not have an item specific filled out, you risk having buyers filter out your item when eBay presents item specifics as filters even if your title includes that word.
