US LLC owned by non-US resident – Is operating from Pakistan allowed?
I’d like to confirm my understanding of eBay policy before starting.
Situation:
I’m a Pakistani resident
I own a US LLC (with EIN)
Using a virtual US business address
Will open an eBay business seller account under the LLC
Payments via Payoneer business
Account managed from Pakistan
Items will be shipped from Pakistan (clearly disclosed)
Questions:
Is it allowed for a non-US resident to run an eBay business account under a US LLC?
Is operating the account from Pakistan policy-compliant if all details are accurate?
Is a virtual US business address acceptable for eBay registration?
As long as shipping origin is honest, is this setup okay under eBay rules?

·9 months agoIf you are in Pakistan selling from Pakistan why would you need a LLC in the US? Seems deceptive.
Virtual business address? Are you kidding me right now?
No, you can’t use a virtual address, it needs to be a physical address. If you are shipping from Pakistan you would need your Pakistan address as the return address not some fictitious virtual one.

OP9 months agoThe US LLC and virtual address are for legal and payment purposes only (EIN, Payoneer, suppliers). I’m not claiming items ship from the US — all listings and return addresses will be accurately from Pakistan. This setup is fully transparent and eBay-compliant.

OP9 months agoMu LLC is based on Virtual address, and i registered my ebay account in that virtual address but the return definaltley would be Pakistan is it possible ???

·9 months agoeBay requires that your registered address has to be a real, physical address. You can't use a virtual address, or a PO Box. It's also the law in the USA, called the INFORM Act.

Why did you think you need a USA LLC? What was the benefit going to be for you? The purpose of a business in the USA is to be able to report your business income to the IRS, and pay the income tax and employment tax that are required in the USA. I can't see any benefit to a non-US resident person having an LLC in the USA.
The only one I can see who benefits from this, is the company that is charging you money for your virtual address, for the person in the USA who is your legal representative for the business, and who charged you money to file the LLC forms, which are usually filed with the State government for very little money or for free.
