Urgent: Appeal for Account Restriction Review - ceylon_tea_and_hurbal_products
Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Saliya Amarasingha, and I am writing to express my deep concern and seek urgent assistance regarding the recent permanent restriction placed on my eBay seller account ceylon_tea_and_hurbal_products. I have been an active and responsible member of the eBay community for the past six years – since 2018, and I have always prioritized maintaining a positive and trustworthy presence on the platform. I received notification that my account has been temporary restricted after i sent a mail as a complain to e bay. I received a complaint from a customer about non-received goods. Despite my efforts to contact the customer and resolve the issue, they did not respond, and an automatic refund was processed by eBay. This marks the second occurrence of a similar situation, where a customer did not receive their goods and failed to communicate with me, and I complained about that, resulting in an account restriction. This draws my concerns to whether this was your action against my action to voice for the unjust that happened to me. In my previous email to eBay Customer Support, I detailed the circumstances surrounding the temporary restriction and provided all requested documents promptly. Subsequently, I received requests from five eBay officers for same documentation, which I supplied earlier. However, to my surprise and dismay, my account was then permanently restricted without any clear explanation or justification. I am deeply committed to upholding eBay's policies and ensuring the satisfaction and security of all customers. I take pride in my account, which has no negative feedback, and I have consistently settled payments and made deliveries on time throughout my six years on the platform. I respectfully request a thorough and transparent review of my account, with specific details on the security concerns that led to the permanent restriction. I am determined to address any issues promptly and make any necessary adjustments to comply with eBay's policies. As a dedicated seller, I find it disheartening that my account has been permanently restricted without clear communication and an opportunity to rectify any identified concerns. I appeal to eBay's commitment to fairness and justice and kindly request your support in resolving this matter. Because I think that I have a right to know what is the exact reason for doing this because nothing wrong has happened in my account and you have not given me any reason, I have been making large payments to you for a long time and that payment was made on time. That I have a right to know about it I appreciate your prompt attention to this issue and request that you provide detailed reasons for the account restriction. I believe in the importance of protecting customers, but it is equally crucial to ensure fair treatment for sellers who are committed to providing excellent service. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Sincerely, Saliya Amarasingha ceylon_tea_and_hurbal_products
If the reason is not Bad Buyer Experience then I'm afraid they won't tell you what rule you broke that triggered it. If you know then you could fix it and not do that again but I think they want you to know the rules before you sell. Selling isn't a training ground like making your own rules and see if it flies.
If you're permanently restricted then there's no way to reverse that, there's no coming back.
On scanning your post, it appears that you believe your message will be received by eBay, its management or its employees.
Sorry, but when you post here, you are addressing a very, very large group of eBay buyers and sellers. We volunteer our time to help others when/if we can.
Unfortunately, however, none of us have the authority to review your account or to change your suspension. We can only offer suggestions of what might have caused it.
I noticed a couple of issues that might have contributed to a restriction. One is that you were selling the blooms of the Egyptian blue lotus flower as a tea. That product has not been cleared by the FDA for human consumption in the USA. It has psychoactive properties. Have you investigated your other items for similar customs regulations?
Also noted in some of your descriptions, you have defined your store as US-based, when your item location and the country you are registered in is Sri Lanka. That may skirt what is allowed, as would making medical claims in regard to your herbal supplements. Herbal compounds and products have to follow eBay policy as outlined below:
â€â€¦Listings for herbal, holistic, or drug-like remedies and legal substances can't make non-FDA-approved health claims or be compared to any prescription drugâ€
It seems several of your listings are selling herbal and organic compounds not allowed to be sold as foodstuff to be ingested in the USA. The soursop tea for example. Soursop is not safe for humans as a supplement or as a food or drink in large amounts.
Did eBay mention any of these issues to you? Wish you the best of luck and sorry for your trouble.

@ceylon_tea_and_hurbal_products Saliya - this jumped out at me:

When your customer complained about non-received goods, did they start a case for items not received? If they did, and if you didn't handle that case through eBay, then that is why eBay sent an automatic refund. That's called an unresolved case and is a big black mark on your account. We only get a few of those in a year, and you mentioned that it happened twice.
That will get you suspended - not because you complained.

Sorry to hear of your predicament. EBay is not here. We are buyers and sellers like yourself.

·2 years agoTo add to message 15 I see you claimed in sold listings you are a US Store.
There's no way you're a US Store or a US seller if you are in Sri Lanka.
In the US an exp date of 01/11/2024 is month, day, year- January 11, 2024. We don't say 11 January. We would say January 11th.
But no matter now.
I think you had too many problems beginning with medical claims the FDA doesn't support. There's no tea that controls or prevents diabetes.

And you might want to check the spelling of "hurbal."
(Hint: it's "herbal.")

You and your items are in Sri Lanka and last I checked that's not in the US.

·2 years agoNot just unresolved cases, but the fact that INRs were filed in the first place would affect this overseas seller per the eBay Export INR policy: https://export.ebay.com/en/regulations/ebay-policies/shipping-performance-policy-item-not-received-rate/

·2 years agoWhat did the email actually say was the reason for the restriction?
Did it happen to mention BBE (Bad Buyer Experience)?

OP2 years agoyes BBE he said. but there are no cases in my account. 100% positive feedback.

·2 years agoFeedback is irrelevant. It does not factor into your account status. Check your Seller Metrics: https://www.ebay.com/sh/performance/service-metrics

·2 years agoYou're feedback has nothing to do with it.
Sounds like it's the Item Not Received cases.
