UPS overcharging ebay who then charged me. $55 to ship a 2lb package
I've been selling on ebay from 22+ years. I sell a lot of golf clubs and use the same shipping boxes and weigh them, measure them, etc. I shipped one last week and ebay sends me an email saying UPS says its the wrong weight and added a whopping $43.77 to their "shipping" bill. Is anyone else dealing with this and the maddening AI phone system ebay uses now? I think it's time to sell somewhere else.

·1 month agoWatch ebays automatic calculations concerning package size...dont forget they make money off shipping, so I have seen several pre calculated sizes on postage that are absurd...All because of ebays greed...I suspect thats one reason there are no customers these days...buyers can smell a rip off

·1 month agoWe only use the USPS but on 2 random occasions over the last 20 years we received a notice of underpayment claiming packages weighed significantly more than they did. With the USPS there is a mechanism for disputing the claim and all we needed to do was upload a clear photo of the receipt documenting the weight and whether or not the dimensions warranted a surcharge.
