Updated Embargo List for Goods to USA
eBay hasn't updated their list yet, I still see Syria which is no longer banned.
They did update the list to show Russia and Diamonds, however another member of the forum had his stamps removed because they were from Russia. AI hard at work and all that.
Chit Chats (one of the services I use) has indicated they can no longer accept goods from certain countries, and in addition the countries eBay already bans (Cuba, Iran and North Korea), they've added Palestine, Iraq, Venezuela, Ivory Coast and Myanmar to the list.
I looked on eBay to see if eBay updated this (making me unable to list stuff from these places), but eBay has not updated their embargo list recently. Since the Venezuela coins were not actually minted in Venezuela, my shipper will take them with the location of minting indicated. But once eBay adds them to the list, they will start doing violations against all Venezuela coins because they were issued for the country of Venezuela.

I am unable to list a stock certificate for a Cuban restaurant in Florida, owned by long time immigrants (legal ones).

OP4 months agoSomeone got a violation for an item autographed by Mark Cuban (who I don't even think is from Cuba... however I don't know the man).
Stallion just got back to me to tell me "Russia is banned, everything else is allowed".
I have coins that are minted in St Petersburg and when that comes up (I think Mongolia was one example), I just list from the country it says on the coin using their Central Bank as the manufacturer. No one is policing this all that closely, seems like coins and stamps are not what they're after when they enforce the embargo at the border.
Anyway, trying to figure this out is giving me a headache and I don't want to disappoint a buyer by having their package get rejected and returned to me. I've sold a few things in the past that were problematic to ship and have found a way to make the buyer happy rather than cancel the order. Things become problematic to ship by changing rules all around, they weren't problematic when I listed them, but I'm always blocking and unblocking places based on changing rules.
