Unpaid Ad Fees that I never authorized

Hello. I'm currently in a pickle with Ebay because of my negative balance of $41. It's due to Promotional ad fees but I never authorized that type of marketing for my items. How can I get this resolved?

Yes you did authorize that type of marketing. It's an option near the end of the listing. Be more careful in the future.

Even if there was a mistake made, sellers need to monitor their listings for accuracy. I find mistakes I've made plenty of times especially when listing from "sell similar". When viewing listings in your hub, it is easy to see what is promoted and not promoted...pay attention to that. And always double check ebay's stored item suggestions collected from other listings of like items.

I know some will say "I have 1000 listings, how do I manage all of them?" Find a way, that's part of your responsibility when selling

This is most likely an error on your part, I have not heard of Ebay applying Promotional fees without the sellers authorization to do so, You may want to go back & check your settings.

Many people here use a 'posting ID' for the messageboard that is not their selling account.

You can try contacting ewBay on Facebook and see if they will give you a credit. But I am skeptical that this was not user error and that eBay promoted your items without your permission.

eBay doesn't apply advertising unless the seller clicks a link to opt in @zach7460 .

I suggest checking your advertising dashboard and turning off all active campaigns.

How many listings do you have? You should check each one of you listings to see if they may also have promotional fees attached. If they do then end the listing and make a completely new listing from start to finish and make sure not to have any promotions activated.

You don't seem to exist as a seller on eBay when I click on your ID. Hard to help when we can't see any evidence of a problem.
