Unfair
Summary: davdawi.hvurqps expressed frustration over the removal of their listing of rare promo cars despite others being available on the platform. A participant explained that automated systems may flag listings as policy violations, suggesting caution against relisting. Discussion included concerns about listings involving Confederate flags, though davdawi.hvurqps clarified their removal was due to a mistaken complaint related to guns. Others advised caution and compliance with platform rules to avoid account issues.

OP2 weeks agoUPDATE -- Here's what Ebay told me ----- The read what the COMPLAINT was and it has NOTHING to do with the Confederate Flag --- They were Complaining about a Gun. They me that the seen nothing wrong with my post. There is NO photo of a Gun nor is the word Gun mention in the post and she said I can relist the item and she said she see's nothing wrong with listing. She (Emma) said the complaint was about something that didn't have Nothing to do with my post.

·2 weeks agoYou see there are " good " flags and " bad " flags. General Lee's battle flag is " bad ". Japan's rising sun battle flag is " good ".
Bottom line, yours got spotted. eBay can't catch them all. Some slip by.

OP2 weeks agoAll the Flags in this World are bad some reason or another even the Pride Flag is Bad

·2 weeks agoYup, the Confederate flag. I had a listing removed of a US stamp that showed one! I wouldn't list it again.

OP2 weeks agoI found out it was about a gun and they found nothing in that post about a gun and that I could repost the item.

·2 weeks agoThe email you got tells you a little if you read it closely. They do however always lack clear reason or reasons why your listing was removed. You can contact Ebay to find out more.

·2 weeks agoUnfortunate...and I know from experience it feels arbitrary.
I have a few I had to take out, myself, like a set of salt and pepper shakers, a plate, and a doll's outfit.
If I searched...
there are probably others like it that are listed.
Not really something you can use as a "defense"...
better just to not relist it.
...but I know how irritating it is. Good luck.

·2 weeks agoI got pulled over and cited for speeding the other day.
There were thousands of other cars speeding.
Why didn't they get pulled over?

·2 weeks agoCall ebay and tell them you are a good ol' boy and you never meant no harm.

·2 weeks ago · EditedThe Corporations are fighting each other for Regulationware - its very important to them to erase history. All that exists is the eternal now of advertising. Ebay is just doing their part. Eventually, nothing will be usable. We're just about there.

·2 weeks agoeBay does not allow confederate flags or items with an image of a confederate flag on them. Even if you change the title and try to relist your item, it is still not allowed. If you persist in doing this, you could lose your ability to sell on eBay.
There are a lot of things that eBay does not allow. We may not agree with them, but it is eBay's site and they make the rules.

·2 weeks agoDoes the AI bot really "look" at pictures? I see lots of confederate flags on ebay. If you do a general search for General Lee cars you get over 3000 hits with most clearly showing the confederate flag.
Maybe there is something else involved here?

OP2 weeks agoLook it up. I don't care what the rules are, I'm saying there are thousands of items with the Confederate Flag on them and even the flag it self.

·2 weeks agoI don't need to look it up. I know there are thousands of listings of all kinds of items that are prohibited but are listed anyway. They just haven't gotten caught yet.
Since you don't care what the rules are, have at it. Maybe you will get by with it and maybe you won't. You have been told by several people here that you are jeopardizing your account by ignoring the rules, but hey, whatever.

·2 weeks agoIf you haven't yet, consider using the "sell similar" feature on listings. Find the exact same item that is listed on ebay and select the "sell similar" button.
Other than adding your pictures be careful with how you edit the listing.
davdawi.hvurqps
OP2 weeks agoDone that - always do and then I add real photo's of the item I'm selling

·2 weeks agothousands more? Then it is not RARE but thats not your question.
There was something about your listing that the BOT / AI found against policy.
So yours got removed and others did not (yet)
"fair" is in the details. Most things in life are not fair depending on which side you are on.
Dont relist or you are potentially risking your selling account.
Sell it elsewhere and list something else here.
Once yours is removed there is a very good chance relisting it will get it removed again.

OP2 weeks ago · EditedI'm talking about General Lee's in General. I will repost it in a different way.

·2 weeks agoYou certainly can do what you want to do as far as a workaround.
But keep in mind that each listing that is removed as a violation will add defects to your record and may impact your ability to sell on ebay.
Personally, I wouldn't relist an item that was removed as a violation.
davdawi.hvurqps
OP2 weeks agoThe complaint was about a gun and there is nothing in that post showing or about a gun. Ebay told me that I can relist the item because there it has nothing to do with a gun and that was the complaint about.

OP2 weeks agoThe item I'm selling is rare. Try to find one. These promo car. First one's.
