·2 years agoYou are listing quite a few cards that are in the realm of being so worthless that I actually use them as packing material.
You don't have a single thing listed that is better as auction format, all of that should be fixed price buy it now.

·2 years agoI'm sorry you had this misunderstanding and it cost you money. As a new seller it is very important to review at least the basic rules for selling here. Among the first things to know is how you get paid and what are the selling fees for listing here. There of course is more to learn than that, but those two things are extremely important for you.
I hope things smooth out for you and you build a thriving business here. Keep in mind that when you are not completely sure about something as a new seller, do NOT assume anything. Seek out the answer either by posting here and/or reviewing the policy controlling whatever you are faced with.

·2 years agoThere are insertion fees just to list, after using up your free monthly allotment, and then you will have final value fees and per item transaction fee after they sell. Some items will not be worth selling.

·2 years agoI can't see it ever being worth it to sell cards for $1 + $1 shipping. Paying for a store will just make it worse.
It just isn't worth the return for the time invested spent listing & shipping.
Just my opinion.

·2 years agoIf you are listings thousands of items....you should purchase a "store subscription" to lessen cost of monthly "listing fees".

EBAY has many different types of fees:
- Listing fees (you pay every month for every item listed)
- Selling fees (pay after item sells) based on (purchase price + shipping + sales tax) plus 30 handling charge
- Promotion fees (if you decide to pay extra % to "promote your items") based on (purchase price + shipping + sales tax) pay after item sells if customer clicks on your promoted listed.
- International fees (pay extra 1.5% after items sells) if item delivered to another country or your customer is registered in another country.

·2 years agoAfter you used your 250 free listings, you were charged $.35 for each additional of your 456 listings. (So you're charged 35-cents x 206 listings.)

·2 years agoAlso any promoted fee item purchased and any refund will also be immediately taken out of "available funds"and not from pending funds. Its not unusual to have a negative balance sometimes in "available funds".

·2 years agoSellers who don’t have a store receive 250 free listings per month. Those listings can be either fixed price or auctions. There are no restrictions for which category you can list auctions in when
you do not have a store. There is an insertion fee of .35 after you have reached 250 listings.
When your fixed price/good till cancelled listings renew each month that counts as one of your free insertions. Some sellers receive up to 8 free renewals on their auctions but if you don’t qualify then renewed auctions also go against your free insertions.

You get 250 free listings- per month- for Fixed Price (Buy It Now listings (not auctions!!) (NOT guaranteed how long this will go)
You get (maybe?) up to 250 'auctions' PER MONTH for fashion/collectable (so an auction lasting 7 days, means you are 'relisting those 250 3 more times in the month (250 x .35 ea).
Even with a 'Premium' ($60 month) Store, you get 10,000 FIXED price (Buy It Now- NOT auctions!)

Non store sellers are not limited to which categories they list auctions in. They get a total of 250 free fixed price or auctions in any category.

·2 years ago@pjcdn2005 didn't realize that- so that 'free 250' is 'per month, correct? so the usual '7 day auction listing' would mean that to 'list' those that didn't sell, would cost you for the next 3+ times you list for that month?

·2 years agoMany sellers get the option to relist their auctions 8 times for free; it's a checkbox on the listing form:
After a seller has used up their 250 free insertions AND free relists (if any), THEN they are charged 35 cents per insertion or relist. If an auction has used up (or never had) their 8 free relists, then a relist of that auction will use up one of the seller's 250 free insertions if available. The seller would be charged for "the next 3+ times you list for that month" only if they had already used up their 250 free insertions for the month.

That statement applies only to eBay Store subscribers/sellers.
Please see the response to OP from "redmodelt", Message 4 above, AND click on the hyperlink in that message.
It is a very clear chart that spells out eBay's policies on the number of free listings per month, based on eBay Store level subscription, starting with "No Store package".
