I’ve been trying to get a clear understanding of eBay’s seller performance levels. I know they’re evaluated monthly and can significantly impact visibility, fees, and selling privileges. I've been selling on eBay for 11 years and have enjoyed Top Seller status for almost all of that time. Until recently.

BACKGROUND

On July 9, I put my store on vacation, and in the short time it took to take affect, I had a sale, but I had already left the office. I sold several items to one buyer in one sale. EBay reduced my level from Top Seller to Above standard calling it 4 sales. This was a Thursday morning. I shipped the items on Monday morning. While I understand I was late to upload, it was only one package to one buyer, not four packages.

So there are two questions:

(1) If everything has been great and I've met all of my requirements since July 9, will my seller performance level return to Top Seller 3 months later (Oct 9); and

(2) So I have a complete understanding of how sales are counted, would multiple sales to one buyer, paid with one payment, count as one late upload, or is it correct that eBay counted it as four late uploads?

What will answer your questions is a closer inspection of the Seller Dashboard.

Each section on the Dashboard has explanations about what that section is for as well as some have detailed reports to show you exactly which transactions caused the issue. Review those to see where you might have ran into problems. In each section, if you see a down arrow on the right, that means there is more information available, so click on it.
