UK global shipping center -im the buyer
How many days does the global shipping center take to ship to the USA? At center on 01/14/2025 -it says preparing for shipping and today is 01/16/2025. Paying over $55 for shipping and listing and seller confirm priority shipping to the USA. I don’t mind paying for high shipping but I expect it to be faster shipping as well. Does the global shipping hub lose or steals packages? I have read that on numerous sites and now I’m upset. Anyone a buyer from USA buying from the UK? and has to go thru that global hub?

·7 months agoDo not waste your time buying an item from the UK to the US as it will never leave the hub. It is not the fault of the seller and instead eBay should be ashamed of providing this pathetic shipping service!

·1 year agoEbay's freight forwarding/consolidation operations do a pretty good job of reaching their destination by the estimated delivery date.
There may be significant delays in the intermediate steps which do not necessarily cause a late delivery.
As well as the previously stated work load issues, some shipments are delayed because they are waiting for sufficient volume of goods to make up a consolidated shipment to the destination country.
Babysitting shipments can be very frustrating no matter what method is used to ship them. And neither buyer nor seller can do much to expedite a shipment which is en route.

Umm, today is the 16th, your parcel has been at the hub two days....which may actually only be a day-and-a-half with the 8 hour time difference. UK shipping is very slow, regardless of which carrier is handling the packages. Three to four weeks is pretty typical. If you manage to get your package by the 29th, you're doing extremely well.

·1 year agoI'll take a wild guess and say you will have it in your hands on the 27th, you might get lucky and get it on the 25th (especially is you are on the east coast).

I noticed that too. I'm wondering how someone in the United States is 3 days ahead of the rest of us in the US.

·1 year agoI am not all that familiar with the UK global shipping center it may be a question better asked on the UK boards or of your seller. Nothing is ever going to be faster going through multiple stops. The hub in the UK may or may not repackage the item but they would have to create the label for the international leg as well as do the customs paperwork before they sent it on its way to the US.
I have sent a number of items through the US EIS program and on average it takes 4 business days for the hub to turn the package around and get it into the international shipment flow.

·1 year agoDon't have any info about UK to US.........but from US to UK, sat for 5/6 days in US hub before being sent to UK...... In amongst whatever the hub does......remember there has to be customs clearance also......so that surely adds to shipping time.

The Hub has to receive and repack the item. Based on backlog it could take some time although on the eBay Help Page they make NO reference for the time frame involved with the Hub turning shipments around: eBay International Shipping | eBay
Just keep an eye on the original estimated delivery date ... you will have 30 days from that date to file a claim that you did not receive the item.
You have the option to request a call back from eBay and voice your concern and displeasure with the program. eBay Customer Service

OP1 year agothank you. It did say it was shipped to the international hub and arrived at the international hub yesterday, today those are gone and shows not shipped to the hub or arrived at the hub. So now I’m worried. ETA says 01/29/2025 to be delivered to me

It’s out of your hands. On the 30th you will be able to open an ‘item not received’.
The hub just received it yesterday. It could take a few days for it to process and be sent on it’s overseas journey.
Tracking isn’t meant to be torture.

I no longer ship internationally but I had a Canadian customer message me wanting an item that was just under $ 20 ... this was right around when eBay was launching the EIS. I was NOT opted in. I set up the listing with USPS First Class International shipping ... the customer purchased it but when I went to print the label eBay FORCED an EIS label on me, I could NOT print the service I original used on the listing.
I shipped the item, it went to the Hub and then I lost track of it ... could not find any additional tracking info but the HUB was handling all of that. I never heard from my customer ... I was definitely flying blind. Maybe they have improved the tracking piece since then ... but based on your post, maybe not.
