·2 weeks agoOn eBay, the seller never has to make that decision.
eBay determines who is the winner of an auction OR which of two commitments to purchase came in earlier.

Did you list it twice?
Did you accidentally put the quantity as 2?
Did you list it on another site in addition to eBay?
We need to know the details.

·2 weeks agoHow can that happen when you only have one to sell? The 2nd person would see the item is not available and the system wouldn't allow a payment to be made.

·2 weeks agoI lost an item this exact same way a couple of weeks ago so since the other buyers payment went through seconds before mine, ebay wouldn't allow mine to complete the process. This is another of ebay's stupid changes that set the seller up for failure. Although I was very forgiving with the seller, not everyone else is going to. All the seller needs to run into one of their multiple purchases with them at the same time as mine was and they can't do a thing but pray they're not dealing with a nasty and vindictive buyer. Hopefully fellow sellers won't play that game but there's no guarantee for any of us. Please post the outcome of your situation, we'd all love an answer to your question. ·2 weeks agoyou stated "I was very forgiving of the seller" which is nice but seems totally irrelevant to me, you were not a buyer as far as ebay is concerned and therefore can not leave FB or open a case or do anything to affect the seller? Am I missing something?

·2 weeks agoAs I also stated, I had purchased other items from her at the same time. Therefore I could've taken it out on her with the other feedback I left and that's pretty revelant when you're the seller.

·2 weeks agoClick orders>then next to the transaction click on the 3 dots which is in between View order details>then scroll down and click "Cancel order." Select "Out of Stock." I would also notify the buyer you mistakenly typed in quality 2 instead of 1.

·2 weeks agoThe seller gets dinged by ebay when using an out of stock explanation. For trs, that's not a good solution.

·2 weeks ago · EditedWell the item is out of stock so yes it is the solution otherwise the seller is at risk for a restriction if Ebay determines the seller violated policy. Yes a mistake like this is out of stock not buyer agreed to cancel. Now yes they will get dinged unfortunately which then they need to appeal the ding to Ebay and they will decide if it gets removed or not.
