Trying to communicate with eBay
Summary: healthy-home-zone described experiencing repeated issues with eBay removing their listings for diabetic test strips despite successfully selling them for 17 years. Previously, they appealed the decision and won, but now are unable to find a direct way to communicate with eBay. bashort suggested focusing on specific points like prescription requirements and compliance with eBay's guidelines. stainlessenginecovers and caldreamer warned about the automated nature of eBay's system, suggesting not to relist the item to avoid account termination. shire123 questioned the differences in listings, to which healthy-home-zone replied there were none. mam98031 provided detailed guidance on contacting eBay customer service effectively.
I have been selling diabetic test strips on eBay for 17 years with no interference from eBay. However, earlier this summer, one of my listings was flagged and removed because eBay claimed that it violated their ban on selling medical devices. I appealed that decision citing 3 major points. First, there are over 10,000 current listings for diabetic test strip on eBay. Second, I have successfully sold test strips for over 17 years. Third, diabetic test strips are available not only from eBay but also from all retail pharmacies - both online and brick/mortar stores. I communicated with an eBay rep on the online chat line. He sent my appeal up the line and eventually the appeal was granted. In early August, the same thing happened. One of my listings was removed, I appealed asking eBay to refer to my earlier appeal and my appeal was granted. Now it has happened to me again. Only this time, I cannot find the option to communicate by text with a representative. My current appeal was denied and I cannot find another way of communicating with eBay. Please help me find a solution to this problem.

·1 month agoHere are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

From this link you can request Ebay to call you in the USA. The option is available when Staff is available to respond, so NOT 24/7/365.

·2 weeks agoYou're not understanding the problem.
It's not a banned item, yet AI took the listing down.
Happened to me. It's maddening.

·1 month agoI see you have 2 listings for test strips up now. What was different about the listings that were pulled?

·1 month agoYou are getting caught by EBAY bots. If you relist this item after it was taken down, you risk getting your EBAY account terminated.

·1 month agoThere is NO human that will look at it or reverse it. Simply do no list that particular item any longer.

·1 month agoThe problem is everything you cited is irrelevant.
You have been selling them for 17 years, irrelevant
10,000 others are selling them, irrelevant.
other places are selling them, irrelevant.
The points you should be making are.
They do not require a prescription
They are factory sealed and in date
They meet all ebay requirements
I actually do not think making the proper arguments will matter either
