Trading Card Single Returns - How do you handle them?
First time someone did a return on a trading card, how do you card sellers handle them?
I can't seem to have ebay make the return label. Forcing me to buy and upload label.
and his return excuse, "Just didnt like it." Looks like shake the tree for a free card cause it cost me over 5 to return a 2 dollar item.
Is there no other way to print a standard envelope label?

·4 months ago'a 2 dollar item'...had the same problem.
Buyer never contacted me and just marked return.
I was not about to pay for a $2.00 return for like 5.00.
My buyer was also a seller and I just gave him a piece of my mind.
Somehow, it worked. The buyer closed the returned.
I was very businesslike when I told the buyer that's not how it's done.
Always message the seller first which is 'me'.

·4 months agoIf you don't want to offer free returns you don't have to. How frequently does this happen that it's a financial burden to you?
That being said, you don't have to refund the ORIGINAL shipping cost with remorse returns. (If you do free shipping, this won't matter.)

OP4 months agoAgain I never said I don't want to return. I am saying if possible to do Standard envelope return.(which is the main topic)
Item in question just a Near Mint Disney Wonder card worth only 2 dollars. It is really not worth sending it back, I never had a trading card return cause the value is so low its not worth it for buyer or seller to do extra work.
Its not a financial burden, but just cause I said I am reporting it, does not mean I report every single buyer that does a return, as well If a person dont report doesnt mean he dont report any buyer at all. Sometimes you get that gut feeling and you run with it.

The majority of your trading card listings are not worth paying the money to get back.

·4 months agoIf Ebay doesn't have that option then the answer is no not through Ebay. You would have to send them an uploaded label. How much is this card worth? I think you might be right with just issuing a refund and be done with it.

·4 months agoYou offer 30 day returns with seller pays for shipping cost so yes you are responsible as the seller to pay for the label.

OP4 months agoI know that. That wasn't my question. Is it still possible to send them standard envelope return label or not.
If not I'm just gonna refund, block and report. Calling it a day.
If i can send a standard envelope return label. I just send it, refund without shipping cost, and block..

·4 months agoI get the "refund, block" part (I would do the same) but, what is there to report? You offer free returns which means free returns for ANY reason. They could shove it in their pocket, run it through the laundry, and then return it stating they ran it through the laundry.

OP4 months agoI am only reporting cause of gut feeling of a shake the tree. It won't do anything to buyer this is a one off but if the trend continues it will speed up an exit of a bad buyer. If nothing then I am wrong.

·4 months agoThere's nothing to report.
What trend?
Buyers change their mind all the time and return items.
