tracking shows item delivered, buyer says no, ebay put my money on hold
What to do now? Buyer says she has a letter from USPS showing her item was "misdelivered", I have a hard time believing that. She wants a refund, Ebay has put her money to me on hold.
I tried to call ebay but of course can't find a phone number.

·8 months agoWell, 'misdelivered' and 'delivered at address, left with individual' are two different animals entirely.
Follow the directions above and upload your tracking into the INR claim. Good luck.

·8 months agoFirst, respond to the item not received case by uploaded tracking even if it shows it is already there. Just re-put in the tracking and hit update. Ebay will put a hold on your money for 3 business days. Remember that Monday is a holiday so the clock starts ticking on Tuesday. So I'm thinking by Friday of this week you should be able to have eBay step in and when they do they will close in your favor since tracking shows delivered.
On a side note, and you do not need to message the buyer anything but if you choose to I would say something along these lines:
I am so sorry you are saying your item was mis-delivered. In order for me to open a case with USPS I will need proof that USPS has in fact misdelivered this item. You can ask your local USPS to gps the delivery scan. When they do they will determine if it was mis-delivered. If that is the case they will try and retrieve the item and re-deliver it you if they are able to. If they are unable to retrieve it they will issue you a letter stating that it was mis-delivered and the letter will have their local usps stamp seal on it. I will need a copy of that to be able to open a case with them.
Most buyers will not do this and that's totally on them as if it truly was mis-delivered this is how they get their item or their money back. But again, you don't have to message them technically because your item has a delivery scan.

·8 months agoI agree with "Spread..." but to add make sure all messaging is done through EBAY messaging not your personal email. I had an issue once and EBAY was able to note my attempts at resolution. I received a message from EBAY thanking me for my attempts at resolution and they took care of it with no further efforts on my part. They will probably verify the shipping address you used and that will be the end. I think you are being scammed.
