Toy Clothes Listing was Removed
Hi all,
I’ve been a disabled seller w chronic conditions since 2015, making handmade doll clothes. Lately, every time I list toy clothes, my listings get removed — even though many others are selling the same items with no issue.
It feels very unfair. I put so much effort into this small shop. Please help me understand what’s going on.
ðŸ™thank you so much

·1 year agoOh my, how adorable! Have you thought about making dog clothes? There are a lot people like me that purchase wardrobes for their babies. I have always had yorkies and love buying clothes for them. As talented as you are I think it would probably be a good expansion for you. Definitely would not hurt to make a few items and list them. See if they sell. I think they would. Years ago when I had my first yorkie, Miss Minnie, there was a lady on here that made the cutest dresses. You would give here your dogs measurements and she would custom make the clothes. I still have those adorable dress from about 20 or 25 years ago. After Miss Minnie left me I stored them to keep forever. I have a little storage for each of my babies that have passed on.

·1 year ago@stitchnstory Good job! I saw just one title with Labubu in it left, but when I double checked it was gone.
And yes, be sure there is no mention of Labubu in your descriptions or condition area.
Also be sure not to use any licensed fabric for your clothing - sports teams, etc., are extremely possessive of their brands.
It's all about "generic" here, but you can descibe well enough so people know what they're looking at.
ETA: I'm glad you can here to ask.

I see you are still using Labubu in your titles...you need to remove that right away or someone reading your posts on here can report them and you will be permanently banned from ever selling on eBay again

·1 year agoAm beginning to believe that the OP does not fully understand the seriousness of the infraction if he continues to list this way.
PS: Just now checked and ALL the OP's listings are gone. Am also unable to view FB.

·1 year agoListings and feedback are still there, just can't use the link in the community.
Have to replace their old ID with their new one.
I wish they would get it fixed,.

·1 year agoLooks like the OP believes the issue has been resolved by using the word "Replacement" instead of Labubu in the listings. Something tells me this will not end well for someone.
momtoabeautifuldaughter
·1 year agoI tried reaching out and that is when they changed it to replaced/replacing.
Someone else want to try reaching out and explaining better?
soh.maryl
·1 year agoNah, this is one I will be glad to leave to others to handle.

·1 year agoGetting closer but Labubu needs to be out of description area also.

In an abundance of caution, I wouldn't picture any Labubu dolls in the photos.
I would just show the clothes.

·1 year agoForgot to mention: Since you are obviously a talented seamstress, why not just make generic doll clothes and list them that way by size -- for whatever size doll they will fit. AG clothing is pretty popular right now, but, of course, you cannot say "AG: or "American Girl".

OP1 year agoThanks all! All are very helpful! ðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ™

·1 year agoSince you have had your listings removed you are now being flagged and "watched" so it is very important that you don't use trademarks or licensed property/names in your listings. At this point you cant worry about why others getaway with it.
I'm not even 100% sure I can use my avatar....
toysaver
·1 year agoYou also can't use trademarks of other billion dollar industries like this outfit you made. The LA Dodgers and MLB own that logo and to use it requires a lawyer to negotiate a deal and big bucks.

OP1 year agoThank you so much. I saw others are all selling this item. Didn’t know this ðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ™

·1 year agoIt’s not completely clear to me, are you listing actual Labubu clothing, made by Labubu, or are you listing handmade doll clothing you’re making that’s based on the Labubu style?
If the clothing is not made by Labubu, you can’t use their name. If it is, something else is wrong.

·1 year agoWasn't there a thread recently about Barbie clothes where folks were making them and had to list as "for Barbie" and not as "Barbie clothes" ?
pargran3
·1 year agoActually it would have to be listed for 11" fashion doll. Using Barbie in any form is a no no if the clothes are homemade and not Barbie
historypapers
·1 year agoCoincidence only, but I never heard of these dolls before, and just a few minutes ago I happened to read an article about they are being massively counterfeited.
soh.maryl
·1 year agoHad never heard of them either and have always thought I'd always had a finger on the pulse of the doll world.
To me, they don't look like dolls, but more like stuffies fancied up a little and provided with elaborate wardrobes. What sets them apart from, for instance, Build-A-Bears or other regular stuffies?

There are a lot of people on here who are disabled and have chronic conditions. Your main problem is that you need to be aware that you can't use trademarked names in your listings. Being disabled with chronic conditions has nothing to do with anything.

OP1 year agoThanks so much 🙠very helpful
tho I tried not using Labubu it got removed
tho others using Labubu
I’m wondering if someone reported it? So frustrating
toysaver
·1 year agoLabubu is a trademarked name you can't use unless you pay a licensing fee which would require a contract and cost thousands of dollars. You have to learn to list without using the name but imply the clothes are for that item.

I tried not using Labubu but also get removed
will try more
