Top Rated Seller Unable to modify listing prices and inventory - What is fair to expect from ebay?
Currently, eBay is experiencing a global site issue that impacts sellers' ability to modify an existing listing (single or multi) inventory or prices. I have reported this issue to eBay support for multiple days in a row. I replicate the issue with support, confirm the issue, and create a ticket to send to the back office team. I called back the next day and learned the ticket had been closed and restarted the process with support. I spoke to members of "leadership" and even tried to report the issue via Twitter with no success. Why is not fair to expect ebay support to openly communicate when experiencing an issue, the expected impact, and a target resolution time? Either way, I am losing money every moment this issue continues as well as customers due to the inability to manage my inventory. I recently was upgraded to a Top Rated Seller, but each person still speaks to me like this is my first time using the platform. If you are a seller, please comment if you also have this issue. If you work for ebay, how is this acceptable?

Can you expand on exactly what the problem is? For instance ..

·2 years agoI was able to revise listings today with no problems. I have never listed items as you have with multiple prices for the same listing. That is likely causing your issue. I suggest ending the listings then relist with the revisions you want.

OP2 years agoThank you for the response. Can you expand on how you recommend handling multiple variation listings? Most of my catalog offers dog collars with 5-10 colors and 5-10 sizes ranging from 12" x 3/8" to 28" x 1". The prices increase as the size/weight of the collar increases. If a listing is needed for each specific price point, I would go from 300+ listings to 3000+

·2 years agoOdd. Been able to adjust quantity and pricing just fine. Just tested it too. No issues at all here.
Are you using the older Active item list, or the full Seller Hub? I recently had to switch to the Seller Hub in order to have better results managing listings that I wanted to use Quantity Discounts and stuff.
If you are doing this via the eBay App, that has a lot of issues that I don't particularly like, and normally I avoid using that to do anything with listing. Mostly I use the App to read and reply to messages if needed and to check on listings.

·2 years agoI'm not sure what your problem is with listings, but I "modified, changed, added to and removed from" multiple listings just yesterday.
I don't believe you are "losing money" because you can't change something in a listing.

OP2 years agoThank you for confirming. Odd that it works for others who have responded, but yet I can replicate it on multiple devices, browsers, and accounts. I am actively losing money because I am unable to modify my inventory or prices for over 200 listings and 10,000 items. If I make a sale and lose money, I should be able to adjust the price accordingly. If I am forced to cancel sales because the inventory is not accurate, I will lose money.

·2 years agoAre any of those listings that you are trying to revise have an open offer? Sending offers will place a lock on any type of revision until the offer expires.

·2 years agoAre you absolutely POSITIVE your account hasn't been restricted, because that's the only time I've ever heard of being unable to edit listings.
Can you list NEW ones?

·2 years agoAre you conversing with the phone support? If so, do know that they are not actual eBay employees, but rather a group of contract people in some unknown country reading from a manual. They have been known to lie, mislead and hang up on callers.
I suggest contacting eBay for Business via Facebook.
