Top rated seller qualifications
Question, Do multiple items sold to the same buyer count towards top rated seller status? I current have 104 items sold showing on my store page. I have 0 defects, and 1 item they dinged me for late shipment although I was ill and contacted the buyer and informed ebay which they said it was ok since it was communicated. They removed the defect but not the late shipment rate, although it doesn't put me in a disqualification level.
I know I am going to break into top rated seller, I was just wondering if those items sold to the same buyer in a week count as multiple transactions. Also do they count cancelled transactions that a buyer asked you to cancel. I have no cancellations due to damaging or not having an item.
I am looking forward to Top Rated status and growing my business.

·2 years agoYes, each transaction and dollar amount counts towards the 12 month rule, greater than 100 transactions and $1,000 usd in a 12 month period.
If I purchased 100 individuals items, from you, one at a time, each separate order/transaction would count towards the total transactions required.
If I added 100 of your items in my Ebay cart, and purchased together, that would be one transaction and the total dollar amount would still apply.

OP1 year agoThanks i became a top rated seller and it doesn't seem like it counts for much, little badge that shows up sometimes in search results and some time doesn't, same lousy customer support and i don't know how much more of the claimed "visibility" they actually give you, ebay is kind of a pay to play system unless you lost your items way cheaper than everyone else and they boost you visibility with the "greag price" stamp or whatever term they use. And who can afford to sell their stuff at much less than market value other than the big dogs with the kinds of funds to buy thag much quantities that are still making excellent margins.
And top rated plus probably helps out a bit more but again unless you're one of those guys with big funds to buy big big quantities your margins aren't going to be big enough to be able to offer free returns on all items.
I've at least achieved them doubling my seller limits every month since I've joined they just raised me to 400 items or 20k a month, hopefully with continued hard work I'll get there at some point but I thought I would get better "seller protection" as top rated but they let people send me back items in damaged condition or replace my new product with their used product and return it back resolve a case in my favor but leave me with negative feedback unfortunately

Yes. Feedback for items sold to the same buyer in a week do not count. Only the first one is added to your score.

OP2 years agothat didn't answer my question i meet all standards but didn't turn to top rated today so i guess my 105 transactions only multiples only counted as one towards my top rated status. ill become top rated by next month on the 20th

Check your seller dashboard. Click on transactions and sales and then "See monthly breakdown". I've been a TRS since forever. There have been times when I had to look at what sales were dropping off and what I needed to stay TRS. If you look at a particular month and your actual transactions for that month, you should be able to figure out how the counts work.
If you review your seller dashboard regularly you should be able to anticipate and hopefully correct any issues that might affect your TRS status (instead of getting a "surprise" notice from eBay). 🙄
FYI: Since count is 12-month transaction total, the last months transaction count needs to be equal to or greater than the transaction count for the month that is dropping off, or your total transaction count will drop.
