To buyers who ebay has left auto FB for -- To seller, has any auto been changed?
To the buyers:
Does ebay tell you - in a message or a popup note on purchase page - that it left auto FB in your 'name' [the auto's don't show buyer's ID] AND that you can change it?
To sellers:
Any auto pos been 'updated' by buyer?

OP10 months agoOK, I guess the main question is when this was first announced a lot of sellers were worry that buyers who wasn't 100% happy but wasn't going to leave any feedback, saw/found out about the auto pos and then manual changed to neg.
So has anyone have one changed to neg?

·10 months agoNope, no negatives.

·10 months agoI’m confident some of our automated ones have been replaced, but actually tracking and confirming that is beyond me at the moment. I tried making a spreadsheet and copying in the feedback so I could compare it to a later copy of our list of feedback, but since we have received 419 automated feedbacks since this started plus about 250 manual feedbacks, it’s a lot to try to identify.

·10 months agoI probably wouldn't consider the automated feedback...feedback.
It's more like a general notice of completion....clearly marked as non human.
I've had someone replace it with actual feedback...
and, no, there was no pomp and circumstance
I noticed because it was on top.

·10 months agoMy feedback numbers change but I don't see any new feedback from buyers. I'm assuming that is the auto feedback displaying?

·10 months agoYes, most likely you just need to check the box to “Show automated feedbackâ€.
Buyers are not notified when sellers are given automated feedback by ebay. When the buyer leaves feedback their feedback replaces the automatic feedback given by ebay.

·10 months agoeBay is not notifying buyers that feedback gets left automatically if no issues were presented 7 days after successful delivery. The only way a buyer will know feedback was automatically left, is if they read about it here, in the feedback policy which had been updated, from other sources, or if they researched the seller/item sold and could deduce which auto feedback was theirs.
I have a couple of accounts, the other one is mostly for buying car parts. I was able to search sellers that I recently bought from and see the auto feedback. But no notifications of this was present. The interface looks the same as it always has from the buyer pages.
I can leave feedback and it replaces the auto feedback.
As a seller, I can see the auto feedback, and I can review the order page/item numbers to see what ones have been left real feedback from a buyer.
This all isn't really rocket science. Its just more fluff.

OP10 months agoOK, thank you to all that replies.
Now another question - I think I read here that ebay doesn't add/show it's auto in the buyers 'left' list?
Let me refine the original questions - If ebay doesn't tell buyers that auto fb has been left, and - by what sellers below have said - some has been changed, it stands to reason that those buyers were either going to leave a neg, or were thinking about it and noticed a pos for their item when looking at sellers FB?
Also, any auto pos been 'updated' by buyer to negs?

Yes, as a seller I've had an auto FB replaced by buyer FB.
It works exactly as advertised.

·10 months agoHi @steve_stuff
-On Seller's items if Auto-FB was left by eBay the transaction still shows that the Buyer has not left FB. When and if they do that changes.
I have no clue if any Buyers have left their own FB to replace the Auto-FB ... have not bothered trying to figure it out.
However, when checking Buyer's FB history lately I have noticed a number of them never leave FB as Buyers ... none, zero-zip-zilch. Perhaps that points to the eBay Feedback system having lost its allure over the years ... "No news is good news" comes in to play with the advent of Auto-FB.

·10 months agoThe option to leave feedback still appears for the buyers. And yes, I have had several autos changed when the buyers have left their own feedback.
