THIS is the kind of thing that chaps my britches ....
This is the kind of puzzle that makes me crazy, makes my left eye twitch.
I have always been a student of human action and interaction.
That may be why I studied Economics and Marketing in college, trying to figure you guys out.
I have a large load of Ram Head auto badges.
I listed half of them at $16.90 each.
I listed the other half at $13.90 each.
One batch is selling like hotcakes. I'm talking three or four a day. Every day, and they're the $16.90 batch. The other batch ... the $13.90 batch does ok. But, just ok. There or four a week, not day. Why?
BOTH groups are exactly the same.
Same category. Same shipping price. Same part numbers.
Same, same.
Search them up. Use "Dodge Ram Head 227" as a search term for one group.
"Dodge Ram Head 213" as the other.
Same parts. One is selling for $4 more, no reason.

Now Now they'll be no chapping of britches here, this is a family forum!
But now I understand your ID finally, you sell auto emblems! ( all these years I never knew what it stood for). Nice!

·1 year agoHow is "USED" and "NEW" the 'same'??
How are 2 different part numbers the same??

·1 year agoIMHO you are comparing apples and oranges.
They may be the same parts, but from what I see the listings have different pictures. Perhaps buyers simply like or trust one picture more than the other.
They may be the same parts, but from what I see the listings have different conditions. One list listed as New, and the other is listed as Used. Perhaps buyers are willing to pay $4 more for something that is NEW over something that is USED.

·1 year agoThe 213 one is listed as used and the other one says new. I couldn’t find a description on either to explain the difference.

My guess is many buyers think the $16.90 ones are better quality.

·1 year agoExactly! Or it could be that the one you're selling is hitting its algorithm stride over the other one.
I would not change a thing until sales peter off.
