·2 weeks agoI quit selling there when they forced a 12% promotional fee 'leveraging' their janky search for anyone grossing $10k/yr or more. No choice, and no opt out even if one's gross drops below 10k. That's how they get their money.

·2 weeks agoEsty isn't cheap IMHO especially when you list something that there are variations on the same listing. I have some beads I sell that come in several different colors. When a single buyer buys one of the colors, I'm charged that 20 cent listing fee again. If I have a buyer that buys three different colors of this bead, then I'm charged 3 x .20 = 60 cents. It gets expensive.

·2 weeks ago · EditedThey charge listing fee $0.2, processing fee 3% of order total + $0.25 (that means 3% on shipping and sales tax only?), transaction fee 6.5% of item total. Off site fee 15% applies for items sold advertised on other sites.

·2 weeks agoThey also have less traffic, a different buyer mix (better for some items, worse for others), a worse search than Ebay, larger number of sellers who spam keywords to try to make up for the bad search, and a cloudy future.
Etsy was the very worst site I had ever sold on. Lots of buyers who used it as a substitute for Pinterest, and lots of sellers whose only sales were to other Etsy sellers.
I was selling in their vintage categories. My family members and friends who sold in handmade only listed a few of their oldest designs since their latest designs would only get copied, and were sort of a reminder to their show customers, who would deal with them directly.

Although this is separate from your original question, why are you waiting so long after buyers' purchases to ship their items?
Your listings offer 1-day shipping yet every one of your neutral and negative feedback complain about "waiting a few days to ship." Another feedback complains that you lied in a cancellation, claiming buyer requested it when that wasn't the case.
I think you have (or will have) more problems than fees you don't like!

·2 weeks agoWhen you figure 6.5% transaction fee + 3% payment processing fee it is not that cheap. Plus they have 15% fee if you want your ad to appear "off site".
