The process of account restrictions are completely asanine
My Account has been restricted for over a month because I did not provide a tracking number for an item sold. The item has been refunded. I cannot provide this tracking information. The mc011 notice tells me to respond to the messages telling me to provide tracking info and first off you cannot respond to this message via the app or the new messaging interface. Its only accessible if you switch to the classic version.
ITs incredibly convoluted. I have reached out to support numerous times with no response, each time to wait 24-72 hours. It makes no sense. Its so kafkaesque. eBay is still holding my funds regarding other sales. How is this god dam ok?

·2 years agoEbay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

·2 years agoFunds are on hold for 30+ days if you haven't sold an item(s) in 30 days.
And having eBay refund a buyer doesn't make it any better.
Anything I mail worth money has a tracking number. I save all tracking numbers especially for end of year tax deductions for shipping charges.
You can add tracking to an item if it was sold and mailed and forgot to add to it. Just find your item sold and add the tracking number on it.

Considering the cost of your items, this was a sloppy seller mistake. The bots caught this and now payments are in verification purgatory.
That is how it is OK.
All you can do it to keep providing what they ask for if anything else is needed.
Good luck.

·2 years agoYou have a short selling history, FB on under 20% of your orders, and most recent sales were dramatically higher than past sales.
You will have to wait until Ebay decides it trusts you enough to release your funds.

·2 years agoI would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.
