The price paid is not the asking price.
Hello,
The price paid is not the asking price.
I have a book listed for sale for $76, but it was purchased for $68.40. I am required to ship the book to the buyer.
How come the purchase price wasn't the $76 requested?
thanks

·10 months agoHi @candidmanstore . You can ignore all the back-and-forth on this discussion that's veering off topic from your original question. A couple of responders did provide an accurate answer. We can see here that your listing sold with an offer: https://www.ebay.com/bin/purchaseHistory?item=314593413043
The reason this happens was explained by @fern*wood . When you send a Seller Initiated Offer, it's important to look at all of the settings before submitting. By default the setting for "send automated offers" is set to the on status and it's up to you to turn it off if you don't want the same offer being sent automatically to new interested buyers for the duration of the listing.
Go to Seller Hub > Marketing > Offers to see which, if any, of your listings currently have automated offers enabled.

·10 months agoI suspect the reason it sold for $68.40 was because you sent a 10% off offer to watchers and someone bought it.

·10 months agoIf you ever sent an offer on this item in the past, the little "send automatic offers" box may have been checked which will then send that same offer to any new watchers.

·10 months agoYour message is puzzling to me. You are not a new seller. That means you have had the final value fee subtracted from your funds ever since you began selling. Did you just now notice this?

My, hes getting an early start to his continued harrassment and targeted bullying of maryl. Its been reported several times, but nothing is ever done about it.

·10 months agoBecause I don’t do what some report. My history isn’t hard to check - the odd accusations aren’t supported by anything in my posting history. Asking for someone to be kind isn’t harassment.

·10 months agoThese claims just don’t hold up to a modicum of effort reviewing posts. Understood, a certain subset of community members doesn’t like it when I ask anyone to be nice. I’ve had so many DM’s to me from folks that absolutely agree with me, but don’t want to feel the wrath of this community subset.
The outright lie that I am somehow responding to everyone of someone’s posts can so easily be refuted. Again, I simply said “please be kind.†If that is your trigger for a series of posts attacking me, that’s a you thing.

Why didn't you receive $76?
Ebay has to take their cut.
Did you think ebay was free?

·10 months agoDo you have a 10% off promotion, sale or discount running you may not remember? 76 - 7.60 = 68.40.
