THE DISRESPECT FOR SELLERS
YOU STILL GOT ALL MY MONEY DON'T YOU...YOU TELL ME (IF ANYONE EVEN READS THIS CRAP)....YOU HAVE WORKED FOR EBAY FOR YEARS & ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY DO NOT PAY YOU FOR OVER 3 MONTHS & ALL YOU REPORTS & SELLER RATINGS HAVE MISTAKES AND/OR EBAY AT FAULT NEGATIVE REMARKS & LATE PAYMENTS. EBAY REFUSES TO GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY & THEY MAKE IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO CORRECT THOSE NEGATIVE REMARKS MAKING YOU WRITE EMAIL AFTER EMAIL SPENDING HOURS UPON HOURS OF UNPAID TIME & EFFORT TRYING TO GET NEGATIVE **bleep** OFF OF YOUR RECORD BECAUSE NOW IT IS COSTING YOU MORE TO DO BUSINESS ON EBAY. WOULD YOU BE HAPPY OR CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS WITH EBAY? & IF YOU DECIDED TO KEEP DOING BUSINESS WITH EBAY YOU SURE AS HELL WOULD NOT PUT AS MUCH EFFORT INTO IT KNOWING THAT THEY ARE KEEPING YOUR MONEY ANYWAY. ADD TO THAT THERE WAS ONE TIME ABOUT 1/2 WAY BETWEEN THE 3 MONTHS YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET PAID & EBAY LIED TO YOU & DID NOT PAY YOU BUT KEPT ON KEEPING ALL YOUR $ WOULD YOU CONTINUE TO WORK FOR EBAY?

You keep referring to a "lie-laden" negative feedback but I do not see any negatives on your account. Looks like you have had one feedback revised; is that the one you are talking about? If not, do you have another account that is involved?
It's understandable that you are upset regarding your payout situation, but no one here can do anything about that. We are all just buyers and sellers like yourself, most having years of experience, and all we can do is listen to your venting and offer suggestions of things for you to try. You have been given good advice about contacting eBay by social media but we do not know if you have done that or not. If not, you need to do so. Only they can look at your account and see what is going on.

OP1 year agoI would say it is pretty disrespectful to keep money that is not ebay's. I did everything they said and they said they would give me my money back. There was one time about half way in between the 3 months of not paying me where ebay told me my account was back in good standing and all privileges were reinstated. This was a lie cause during that time I tried to get my money out and they would not give it to me. Three days later they said my account and all funds were on hold again and would be froze indefinitely.
Now about the other stuff that ebay was so quick to put on my seller performance file and take away my top rated seller ranking; Ebay makes it extremely difficult to have anything removed from your account that they so easily put on there. There were at least 4 instances were there were errors of negative comments and remarks on my seller performance spread sheets. I had to write out emails and call so many times to get remarks and reports removed from my account that I had proof that were either ebays fault or because the buyer had asked for special circumstances. Ebay is quick to take away the discounted shipping and other privileges I worked my ass of for, but then after the hours of work I had put in t and finally proven the negative items were no fault of mine, ebay does nothing to refund extra shipping paid or offers any compensation for all the hours and time I spent on the phone and writing email after email to try and remove that stuff that should have never been in my seller performance profile in the first place.
Now maybe some of you that have that have so hastily judged me can at least agree I was and still am getting a lot of disrespect from ebay and who knows when they will ever give me my 1400 dollars they still will not release. Even though there own customer service reps have told me that twice the customer filed chargebacks and twice they were denied and the credit card companies sided with me. You think that if and when I do get my funds back they will offer any kind of compensation or interest...yeah right.

eBay has approximately 18 million sellers so no, you are not "the only seller" with problems. eBay does not show "huge disrespect" for anyone; they have rules and policies that have to be followed.
As suggested above, contact eBay on social media to see if they can give you some answers. (But a suggestion: be polite. Being belligerent or nasty and yelling about how bad eBay is won't help your cause.)

In a chargeback, you as the seller are normally involved in the process, as outlined in the policy, see the link below. Did you respond to the dispute or provide evidence etc?
Also in that same link is more info regarding payment holds that you can click on. I would urge you to read that policy as well to see what official steps are suggested that need to be taken in getting funds released. You have been thru so much already —just trying to make sure you have the info you need to get some resolution here. Good luck. Hope this gets resolved to your benefit.

·1 year agoWhat happened here is an electric bike was sold to a customer back in Jan. …
From the get go this guy had been trying to get a refund even before the bike had even arrived. ..
So I did what ebay told me to and offered the guy a full refund after he returned the item. …
The customer did nothing!..
So ebay then said I was all good and that all my privileges were restored as a top rated seller.
Basically the buyer opened a Claim.
You agreed to refund when the bike was returned.
The bike was not returned.
You won the Claim.
I attempted to get about a months worth of my money that they were holding and they refused.
EBay had a Hold on the customer’s payment - I assume while the Claim was underway.
But eBay also put a Hold on the other payments you were receiving?
So that I think was on a thursday and then after 3 days of me asking for my money and being refused (I had my money to be paid out daily with the debit card for the 2 dollar extra fee) on monday they said my account was again
It took eBay four days to remove the Hold.?
Umm … again what? Active ?
And the other payments which were also on Hold were released?
But the customer’s payment for the bike he kept is still on Hold?
One of the customer service reps had looked into it and said the buyer had done 2 charge backs and both times they credit card company denied him and sided with me.
That may have something to do with the continuing Hold on the bike payment.
Did I miss something?

mam98031
·1 year agoYou said Chargebacks plural. So how many chargebacks are you talking about. How much was each Chargeback?
Ebay sends the seller an email when the Chargeback dispute is filed and the reason the buyer filed it. The seller also gets an email from Ebay when the Chargeback is settled with the outcome of the chargeback.
A Chargeback does not create a Defect on your Seller Dashboard. So the fact you got some Chargebacks had nothing to do with why you lost your TRS. But you can go to your Seller Dashboard and find out exactly why you are no longer TRS in detail.
up_4_reasonable_offers
OP1 year agoI have no idea why I am answering this cause it really has no effect on me but it says this was the best answer to my query which I disagree with cause it does zero for me but I am going to quickly address each of your statements. grammer and spelling will not be a priority
1. You know what I meant by working as in basically if your selling stuff on ebay your getting your funds from ebay and they can, as in my case, with hold that money from you when ever they want in my opinion. In this instance I am referring to $1372. (aprox) has been withheld from me for 114 days now and counting. There was one time after about 45 days ebay said all issues had been cleared up and my account was resorted with all privileges also restored. That was crap becuase I tried to get my money each day for 3 days and they refused. Then on the 4thd day they again but a hold on all my funds.
2. I do not cancel transactions but buyers do and it happens and no one including you have any control over that mr. high and mighty. This is what I was referring to and it was extremely difficult trying to get this cleared up. For a long time it looked like, and was counted as derogatory towards me, that this was my fault. It was not a customer wanted to cancel a pair of sandals he got and to get it removed and corrected I jumped through ebay hoops for days. Nothing I did made this customer change his mind and cancel the transaction.
3. In regards to the negative feedback a buyer had ordered an electric handheld football game from me. In the heading it said the game was sealed. At the time I had someone helping me list items and they accidentally forgot to change the heading as it was used from a previous listing. I spotted this when I was filling the order and message the customer telling him that the game was not in a sealed container and it was not new as it was used. I assured him it was in working condition and he stated that was all he wanted. I had taken pictures of the game on and those were posted with the listing. Then again when this happened I had put batteries back in the game and tested it again and it worked as it should. Upon receiving it the guy said it did not work and he wanted to return it. I said it did work and I did not do returns but I can help you find out what the deal is as it worked when it was shipped and I am a very thorough packaging expert so I know it was not damaged in shipping (look at some of my comments). He did not want to try and figure out what the problem was like maybe he was not using new batteries or they were all different kinds and one was not good etc. etc. Instead he escalated it to customer service. Of course customer service immediately sided with him and sent him a shipping label ON ME OF COURSE. He also went ahead and left a negative comment saying "game was not sealed and was dead on arrival." First of all he knew the "game was not sealed" and for him to comment on that was a blatant lie on his part. The dead on arrival was also a lie because when I received the game back I immediately put batteries in it and it worked as it had when I first mailed it out and like it should work. I took time stamped video of this.
Ebay staff from ebay facebook refused to remove this from my comments. This was the only negative comment I had ever had and it was based on lies that I could prove were lies. I appealed it to the FB ebay staff and they denied my appeal. Unbelievable that any reasonable person would see this and see that I had proof that it was lies and refuse to remove it. Basically what ebay fb staff was saying hey it is all right to lie about some else on ebay and we condone it. I spent hours and hours writing emails and making phone calls to try and clear this up. After several more emails and phone calls (some of which reps just hung up on me after placing me on hold for long periods of time) I finally reached a customer service rep that gave a **bleep** and it was removed in minutes.
4. In regards to the funds being held I just went into more detail in a response I did early tonight so look for it it if you want this addressed.
With all that being said I wanted to say that I disagree that this is the best response to my situation. In fact it pretty much is the worst and is just a way for you to jump on that disrespect train and add your greatly unhelpful 2 cents. You obviously enjoy adding insult to injury. You probably like harming and torturing small animals too. So lets hope the day never comes when you have a situation where a customer wants to get a large, heavy, and expensive (ebike) for free. But hey people like you usually get what's coming to them. Next time why don't you keep your crappy comments to your hateful self.

OP1 year agoWOW! Since when did all caps mean screaming and did someone just invent this? The computer was in all caps mode so what the deal? Also some of you did not read the email in full or are not getting the full picture here. I sold an electric bike months ago and I have spent so much time and effort in regards to this I refuse to do more in regards to clarifying the issues, or making sure my post was in all caps or was grammatically correct.
What happened here is an electric bike was sold to a customer back in Jan. From the get go this guy had been trying to get a refund even before the bike had even arrived. He said that he had owned one exactly like it before so he knew what he ordered there are many pictures of the item and a good description so again knew what he ordered and what was coming. So I did what ebay told me to and offered the guy a full refund after he returned the item. (OH MY GOD I JUST HIT THE CAPS LOCK ON ACCIDENT IF I DON'T CHANGE IT I MIGHT BURN IN HELL OR SOMETHING!)
The customer did nothing! So ebay then said I was all good and that all my privileges were restored as a top rated seller. I attempted to get about a months worth of my money that they were holding and they refused. So that I think was on a thursday and then after 3 days of me asking for my money and being refused (I had my money to be paid out daily with the debit card for the 2 dollar extra fee) on monday they said my account was again So how did ebay know this and even if they did it gave them no right to keep my money and continue to keep my money up to the 1500 (aprox) amount. They still have my money more than 3 months later. One of the customer service reps had looked into it and said the buyer had done 2 charge backs and both times they credit card company denied him and sided with me. Still ebay refuses to release my money. You tell me if you think this is ok? Amazing how judgmental you people are. I don't have time to sit here and write a book so that is all I am willing to do for now. I got my mortgage copany breathing down my neck becuase of back payments owed; which would have been paid if ebay gave me the money that is mine. No I am not going to spell check this or make sure all caps are in proper place.

·1 year agoSince when did all caps mean screaming
According to Google:
"The association of all-caps text with shouting or yelling in online communication developed in the early days of the internet, particularly in Usenet groups and bulletin board systems (BBS). While there's no single origin, it's generally believed that the practice solidified in the early to mid-1980s."

·1 year agoAll caps in a written message has always meant yelling. Having the occasional word in all capitalized just means you are putting an emphasis on that word. This is not a new thing. Do an internet search and you will find all kinds of information on this.
If you came here to get some help for a specific thing that happened, we need ALL the details in order to try and give you accurate advice. I understand being tired of going over it again and again because this has been a long haul for you. But for us, it hasn't. This is the first we have heard about your issues.
But it is ultimately up to you. We are happy to try to help you, but if you are too tired or frustrated to give the details. I think we all can respect that. But then you need to respect why we can't offer any real assistance.
I'm really unsure as to why you came here, you keep insulting some that have tried to give you information and you show a real lack of respect for others volunteering their time to try and assist you.
If Ebay on Facebook blocked you from communicating with them, then you had to of been using abusive language with them. They don't have to put up with that. They don't block sellers that are respectful and polite.
up_4_reasonable_offers
OP1 year agoafter they denied to remove a comment that was lies I could prove was lies and then to appeal it to again refuse to remove it yeah I might have let them have it. When the ebay staff that has been empowered to remove comments that really should be removed and they do not what's left but to let them know how you really feel. 😉
Basically I felt that after two refusals to remove a comment made up of provable lies that they were saying that it is ok to lie about people and circumstances and ebay promotes that kind of behavior. The 2 sources that denied my requests to remove this comment should be reprimanded or written up or something. How can it be ok to let lies be posted on peoples accounts that cause harm to that person and effect that persons income?

None of us are Ebay employees, just sellers and buyers who volunteer to try to help. So when you say "Also some of you did not read the email in full or are not getting the full picture here"
Nope, we CAN'T read any communication you got from Ebay. So when you ranted in your original post, no one here had ANY idea what you were talking about.
You also say in this follow up post "So I did what ebay told me to and offered the guy a full refund after he returned the item." So it looks like the bike wasn't returned and now the buyer is going for a charge back from his credit card company? Which the credit card company has denied a few times.
But NOW Ebay isn't releasing funds from subsequent sales. I'm trying to just make sure I have everything straight.
From what I have read, you should contact Ebay through one of their social media accounts and see what's going on. I don't have any of the links, but I'm sure someone here can provide those for you
Sorry you're going through all this

eBay has never kept any of my money, not in the 21 years I've been selling. If you are an infrequent or new seller, they will hold your funds for 30 days. If you don't have managed payment set up correctly your funds will be held until your checking account is verified.

Some posters that feel passionately about what they are posting but aren't getting the answers they want or like will sometimes try to take that frustration out on the poster or posters they feel the most disrespected by. It happens. So many will not risk their selling ID on the threads.
