Yesterday, my selling ID sent a couple offers to watchers of specific items that have been languishing for months. The price reduction I offered was 15%. I really just want to get these things off my dining room table!
So far, no responses. I'm hoping those watchers/buyers are enjoying the holiday and will look at their e-mails once they get home late tonight.
Today around noon I checked the eBay messages for my selling ID. I had a response on one of those offers. The buyer was ready to accept the offer and she decided to look at my other active listings -- one of which she also decided to buy! She asked if I will combine shipping -- yes, of course, I can do that !!
I have packed the two items into one large envelope and am waiting for an e-mail from eBay telling me it is OK to send. If all goes well, I can take to the post office today. Yippee!!
My sales will be great..............on Marketplace! lol Started an eBay auction & going well so far. 13 hours - no views. lol Enjoy your holiday. Canada Day sucked here. 😛
Happy 4th of July too, let us celebrate our Independence Day with Family & Friends and Barbecue!
My "Views" have picked up a lot, but still very few sales. I attribute that to the type of items I sell. Antiques & Collectibles and Ephemera, but sales may come back as before...let's hope!
@ed8108 I'm running a 10% off sale, not expecting much from it, but what the heck. Might try a Christmas in July later in the month, after all the Prime Days sales are over. Are you running a sale?
I as well wish all of you a joyous July Fourth Independence Day and that you have remembrance of the days very meaning above that of gathering with friends and/or family. Our nation stands at a point of division that has not existed for some one hundred and sixty years. As eBay vendors we are all here with similar goals in mind and as Americans our collective commonalities in our lives and that of family and friends outweigh our differences in huge measure!
So many folks at this moment in time are allowing their disdain to take precedence over that which is commonly taken for granted in everyday life in America. It is American's collective unity in that which is those important commonalities that both built and have sustained America and American's ever since the American Revolution. Yes, we have endured strife. Yes, the nation has come under risk both domestically and via foreign actors in our ancestors history yet they endured finding common ground to build upon.
America is still very young in comparison to most nations on this planet and none of us have a "right" to be free, to even have a country as the history of the world has shown time and again. It is the nations founding principles and our ancestors who provided the country we all live in to this day. Honoring them is an important aspect of Independence Day but more so than that is honoring the very foundations that afforded them and indeed each of us freedom and an ability to choose ever so many aspects of life. Most of the people in the world do not enjoy what we take for granted.
I'd be happy if my sales pick up to the level they were last July. Don't expect that though. I even tried to have yard sales the last two weekends but mother nature is NOT co-operating.
Thanks and to you to! Hopefully any sales won't blow up in our face.
We're not too optimistic with so many people stuck at airports, holiday weekends are usually slow for us, and soon many potential buyers will have to start paying back their student loans and have less money to spend.....
