"Taxes and goverment fees" deducted from gross?
Why is the customer paid sales tax showing as deducted from my gross sales when the customer pays the tax? If the customer pays it and ebay remits it to the appropriate state isn't it a wash other than ebay charging final value fees on it like nerd bandits?

OP3 years agoBandits steal money so I figured a nerd bandit would use software and tax or fee cheats to steal. Charging fees on taxes...lol that's pathetic!

·3 years agoSales Tax money does not go to you and therefore is not included in "gross sales". Of course, you still have to pay EBAY fees on total amount (purchase + shipping + sales tax) plus 30 cent handling charge.

·3 years agoActually it does not say "gross sales". It says "order total" which is an entirely different thing. It is the total amount of money that the buyer paid. Of which sales tax went to the appropriate state and FVF went to eBay. Leaving how much cash that you received,
How else would you account for the cash flow?
