tax #'s match up solved

Just came in from the cold, and about to have something warm to drink while I think about getting all my #'s to match up to do my income tax.

While the water was heating it struck me.

I don't even have to bother. Income tax is being eliminated.

When that happens, I should also be pardoned for failing to file this yearðŸ˜

Is that true that your numbers actually do add up EXACTLY, or did it simply get close? For me the Total Sales report minus the collected by eBay taxes gets CLOSE to the 1099K, but it's still off by quite a bit.

No, my #'s don't match up.

Subtract sales tax from the gross buyer payment shown on the eBay report does not equal the 1099-K amount.

You are correct, it doesn't. There is more to it.\

The amount shown on the 1099K is your Gross Receipts. Total money that came INTO your account. That number is BEFORE any deductions for ebay fees, shipping or refunds to buyers.

Sales Tax is NOT included in the Gross figures on the 1099K.

I'm not sure why they aren't moving threads like this to a different forum more for just general discussions and not have them on the Selling Forum. In the past I've asked them to move them, but so far, as you can see, it hasn't happened. IDK if they would if more people asked.
