Suspicious Bidders!
I have an item currently listed on Ebay which ends in about 5 days.
There are about 8 bidders all of whom have zero previous transactions and feedback and some
of them only appear to have joined Ebay at the time or shortly before my listing went live. To me it
looks suspicious but I can't figure out what they are hoping to achieve. Apparently, I can't block anyone
until after the auction ends.
I would appreciate some advice on how best to handle this situation as it seems impossible to speak
to a human at Ebay these days.

You have listings and you have bidders. What needs to be handled? If it ends with a winner, as is most likely, you wait for payment and then ship. If they don't pay, you know what to do.

·1 year agoAs noted, you're on ebay.com, which is the US site, and sometimes the eBay policies and procedures for the US are not the same as for the UK. You might get better replies if you go to

In the US, sellers are allowed to cancel any bid, and to block any bidder. There's no need to wait until the auction ends. If a bidder makes you uncomfortable for any reason (or for no reason), you can cancel and block them at any time. Sellers can cancel bids right up until the final moments of the auction.

BUT before you start canceling, note that your current high bidder has a respectable 65 feedback score, and if you start canceling those zero-feedback bidders then your high bid showing, and potential selling price, will also drop. I recommend waiting a few days to see how the bidding evolves. If those zero-feedback bidders are indeed up to no good, canceling now won't help you because they'll just make up more new IDs. Wait and see.

·1 year agoWhatever you have up for auction, if you are nervous about selling it on this venue maybe cancel it?
Not sure what the rules are for ending auctions in the UK so please research that first.

Maybe they were looking for whatever you have on auction, and created an account in hopes of buying it.
But I don't see any active listings on your account.

·1 year agoProbably because the OP is in the UK and may not sell to the states. If so, you won't see their listing.
