Super abusive buyer and I can't get relief!
I recently sold a damaged item which was listed with all the pertinent damage detailed (stains), you can check my feedback, eBay didn't remove the negative. The buyer was unhappy with it. Instead of requesting a return or even a SNAD, he started sending me messages as follows:
1. "This is a filthy nasty pick of **bleep**!" (bleep is a vulgar synonym for the word used in the feedback)
2."30.00 I paid for this **bleep**!!!" (bleep is the word used in the feedback. Good enough for feedback, not good enough for the forum.)
3. "WORST POS I EVER BOUGHT!! You must be crazy!"
To which I replied "I don't know what your problem is, but you are being extremely rude and nasty. If you are unhappy with your purchase you may return it as I do accept returns. No need to be so disgusting in your communications with me."
He replied with:
4. "Don’t like getting ripped off. Item description should of listed it as it look like you wife’s someone ass with it and then wanted 30.00. I thru in in the trash when you should of. In a tired of getting ripped off. You get a negative for trying to sell trash!
Don’t bother me again! I mean it!"
I replied "FYI, your abusive emails to me have resulted in your being reported to eBay. I have also placed you on my BBL. You have options if you don't like an item you purchase. If you choose not to use them, that's on you, not me or eBay. I have replied to your negative feedback and I expect it will soon be removed. Have a nice life!"
Admittedly it probably wasn't the best I could do, but after a long day at my real job, a couple extra hours moving into my new apartment and my cat being deliberately poisoned with antifreeze and dying, it was the best I could manage.
He replied:
5. "You as a seller are a worthless piece of **bleep**! FO and as I said say the f away from me or get the same!" (bleep is a repeat of the word used in the feedback. Again, good enough for feedback, not good enough for the forum.)
This is a CLEAR threat directed at me, but still nothing is done by eBay.
And I replied "As I have said before, I'm sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. You have the option of returning it. You do not have the option of sending abusive messages. Every abusive message you send is forwarded to eBay for review. If you don't want any further contact with me, then stop contacting me. I am obligated to respond to all messages I get within a certain time period. So I will keep responding until you either choose to stop or eBay makes you stop. FYI, you are probably well on your way to losing your account right now. May I suggest you stop before it's too late."
I also reported him for the 2nd time.
His response:
6. "After reading my last message to you in which I was **bleep** I paid you 30 dollars for an item that was OUTRAGEOUSLY STAINED I noticed spellcheck mentioned your “wife” which should of been “wiped” so other that that my message was spot on. You ripped me off and I don’t have time to run to the post office. Also you DO NOT HAVE TO RESPOND TO MY MESSAGE SUCH AS THIS ONE....ESPECIALLY WHEN MY LAST MESSAGE SAID NOT TO BOTHER ME AGAIN! Can’t you read??? Now FO and DONT BOTHER ME AGAIN YOU POS!" (bleep is the "p" from "PO'd")
Go cry to eBay and tell them how you stupidly contacted me again after my last message to you said DONT BOTHER ME!"
Again I replied: "As a seller I am obligated to respond to every message a buyer sends me. Especially when the buyer is unhappy about their purchase. YOU however are not obligated to contact me. If you don't want anymore contact, then stop sending me messages I have to respond to. Or, as I have offered before, you can return the item. Those are your choices. Should you continue to send me abusive messages, I will continue to report you to eBay and respond with my same offer of returning the item as I am obligated to do. Your choice. Not mine."
I then asked for his negative feedback to be removed hoping to get a real person's eyes on his abusive and threatening messages.
He responded:
7. "SHUT UP LADY AND STOP CONTACTING ME!
ARE YOU CRAZY???? IVE TOLD YOU 3 TIMES NOW!
“DONT BOTHER ME OR I WILL CONTACT EBAY!”"
8. "Yeah right. Don’t threaten me you crazy lady. FOR THE FOURTH TIME GO AWAY AND DONT BOTHER ME. Now I’m calling eBay"
and finally:
9. "I have turned you in because you won’t stop sending me stupid messages and now I’m returning item.

Seriously, I expect eBay to delete this post if for no other reason than apparently buyers are allowed to threaten and abuse sellers with impunity.
