Suggested promoted listing % differs? Same category.
Anyone have any idea why ebay might suggest vastly different promoted listing %'s for products that are almost identical and in the same category? My guess is one brand might have more active listings than the other brand. Figured I'd come ask the experts if my assumption is correct or if the promoted listing option is just a poo show.

·3 years agoeBay also suggests prices when you list. But you are free to choose your own price, just as you are free to pick your own promotion rate.
In both cases, the eBay suggestion is intended to benefit eBay, not necessarily to benefit you.
So it's only a poo show if you choose a poo price or a poo promotion rate.
