Subject: Tariff Handling for U.S. Buyers on eBay
Dear eBay Team,
I want to raise an important concern. eBay advises sellers to include U.S. tariff costs inside the item price or shipping. However, when we do this, eBay charges around 14% fees on the tariff amount, even though the tariff is not seller income. This increases costs for sellers and creates an unfair burden on U.S. buyers.
In Europe and Australia, eBay uses a fair system where VAT/IOSS is collected directly from buyers, and sellers are not charged fees on tax. Why can’t a similar system be used for U.S. buyers?
Charging seller fees on government tariffs feels unfair and unnecessary. Please review this policy and create a fair solution for both sellers and American buyers.

As a seller on Ebay, for what I sell, this has not affected me because my inventory is sourced in the USA.
