If the magazines are not worth selling individually then I usually lot up by year. But remember most magazines are not eligible for media mail rates so the cost of shipping can be a killer as they get heavy quickly when selling in lots. The reality can often lead to a quick trip to the recycle bin.
I've thought about doing specific issues that have desired content, but I'm trying to minimize time, not maximize price. I'm also wanting them to not end up in the dumpster.
3 years worth fit in a US Postal Medium Flat Rate box, so that is 36 issues. There are wine boxes that are the right size and smaller that I can get a lot of and could ship UPS flat rate.
Thinking Cheap & Easy: large #'s in a listing (box) and find a price where they move. Older will probably bring more than Newer.
NOTE: I've also noticed when the ratio of #watchers to #viewers is 1:5, the item usually sells. 1:10 is pretty much the boundary between Sale and No Sale. So it's possible to tune price based on that ratio.

·2 years agoI would think 'by year'
Titled like:
All 12 Monthly Issues from 1961 of a National Geographic Magazine.
Note that Mags cannot ship Media Mail, so figure the weight/size in shipping pricing.

·2 years agoDepends on the magazine.
When I sold a collection of "Hot rod" magazines dating back to the late 1950s, I listed them
individually. I highlighted the main articles to attract car owners for specific automobiles.
For instance, "Complete step by step to rebuild your 427ci Ford"
A buyer that is working on that type of car might jump at the chance (And pay) for
that magazine, But not be interested in the other 11 from that year.
Bundles are cheaper and easier. But like I said, depends on the magazine.
