Sports Card damaged in shipping from authenticator to buyer
This has not happened to me but I have seen several comments/threads in other places about this issue. If a trading card is sent to an authenticator and passes authentication, but is damaged during shipping from the authenticator to the buyer, who is responsible for the refund? eBay/authenticator or the seller? I have seen a variety of responses with most saying in their experience eBay handled the refund but a few have said the seller was forced to refund. So it seems like it is eBay’s responsibility to handle a refund since damage occurred after authentication, but that people may not be going about the process correctly. Is that correct? What would be the steps a buyer should take if that happens?
