One problem is returns or charge backs. Those can happen after the seller has paid you the money. Then what ? A charge back can be a year later. With high value merchandise that can sting a bit.
No way would I sell expensive electronics. My roommate did and buyers would buy an amp just to steal the 8 brand new 6LQ 6 vacuum tubes and return it sans tubes. He had buyers use him for their parts dept stealing everything from Peter Dahl transformers, steel tubes, meters, etc., and sometimes keeping your item and returning some piece o' crapola. He sold a HR2510 radio done up and they returned a broken computer part worth zero.
I don't blame you for wanting that to be someone else's headache.
You probably won't find any takers but good luck in your quest.
Selling on consignment is not a good option these days. I do it, rarely, only for good friends and I still take 50% after fees and all expenses. You would probably do better at a local auction house.
I've sold for other people in the past. These days I wouldn't. Chargebacks months later are an issue. I sell something for you, 30 or 60 days later, I settle up with you. Two months after that the buyer does a chargeback with his credit card and wins. Are you going to give the money back? Possibly you would, but many wouldn't, and in any case, it's very awkward to have to ask for the money to be returned.

·2 years agoyou also risk scammers who could file not as described, demand refunds and send back junk instead. High dollar items put you at risk.
