For years I used an HP printer to print shipping labels from ebay app on phone with no problems. Then the printer died and I got a new Canon printer. Spent a day and a half trying to print shipping labels,to no avail,but printing packing slips worked fine.. Searching online didn't help and Canon was no help, so in desperation, I posed the problem to Googles AI and it solved my problem in minutes.
Turns out, some printers don't play well with the password protected USPS bar code on the label when using the eBay app. The fix is to go to chrome browser on your phone, click the three dots at top and click on desktop mode. Then go to ebay site, go to sell and print shipping label as usual. This bypasses all the safeguards for the bar code that confused my printer.
Another tip AI told me ..... When on the eBay home page, click the three dots and then click shortcut and it will put an icon on your phones home page so you can instantly go to ebay then click sell at the top and go from there. It takes the same number of clicks as printing through the app
