Sold quantity changes when a sold variation is removed.
I have a a variation listing for vinyl records. The sold quantity shows 59 records sold. I want to clean up the drop down box by removing some of the sold items. The quantity sold changes when I remove a record that has been sold. Is it possible to remove a sold record without having the sold quantity change?

You can update the variations directly and remove (untoggle by clicking the x) any you no longer have so they don't show in the drop down list. (you can also sort those items so they look nice)
You reach that, by revising the listing, editing the variations, then editing the variation list. The page on the right shows your active variation fields. You can just click the X on any you don't need anymore. Then update. This will remove them from the photos and price section. Then save update that page, then save update the listing page.
That's all you have to do.
I do this monthly with my movie listings, adding new ones, pruning out sold ones. You can view the multi bluray listing for an example.
This will not remove your sold count. Mine shows several sold counts, but my current sold out in the drop down are only a few at the moment.
I have multiple listings like this, that I have done this with. It works just fine.
I need to clarify this:
If I just view my listing directly, it only shows 3 sold. But if I look at the listing in my seller hub, it shows 20 sold.
So no, the public view will only reflect the actual sold items. And if you update it, that will change. My mistake.

·4 months agoNo, it is not possible to completely delete a sold variation from an active eBay listing.
eBay's system is built so that transaction data remains accessible to past buyers. You can permanently delete variations that have never sold, sold items are locked into the background architecture of that listing, hope this helps.
