Sold items that buyer (scammer) never paid for and are relisted still showing under sold items
Ebay showing three items totaling $5225.00 that were bought on May 31, 2023 but buyer turned out to be a scammer so he never paid. These items have been relisted but looking at my sold screen under selling it is showing these three orders. The orders themselves show cancelled but the total amount of $5225.00 is showing as if the sale went thru. Shouldn't this $5225.00 be taken off my sold listings because the buyer never paid for the items and the items are relisted ? Why is Ebay counting these items as sold when they were never paid for and is there something I need to do to get these off my sold screen ? Thanks for any guidance here.

Where you need to worry is if it shows in daily sales, as if you got $.
I think you are confusing 2 different things.
Sold just means sold, not paid for.
This is why people think Beanie Babies have sold for millions of dollars.... but where these items paid??

·3 years agoI was under the impression that your day to day sales totals did not include non payer items.
I track my sales daily. I sell $100.00 today and only get paid for $90.00 then my sales for today
would be $90.00 when I look at the day to day graph.
If the $10.00 items gets paid for Saturday, It shows on my Saturday total.
Did the OP file the Non paying bidder reason when he/she cancelled?

OP3 years agoYes I did everything by Ebay book, waited 5 days for payment then with Ebay's direction ( I called Ebay customer service ) I cancelled the orders using non paying bidder as the reason .
To kensgiftshop - This is not directed at you but rather at the policy if what you say is true. But my logic says how can an item be sold if the actual transaction of selling means exchanging goods for money AND THIS EXCHANGE NEVER OCCURED. Does a grocery store consider an item sold when it's in your cart before you pay ? Obviously not, it is not until you check out and PAY is the item sold.

OP3 years agoI forgot to mention that I also sent the Ebay invoice for the buyer to pay twice. I also messaged him thru Ebay messaging asking him to please pay.

·3 years agoEven if the order is canceled, the item still sold and will be included in your numbers.
They have to keep track of them to go against your monthly limits.

You wrote they have to keep track of them to go against your monthly limits. How can money you never received go against your monthly limits ? It should have no effect on any limits since you never got the money.
Just asking how this makes any sense, we're counting $5225 against your limits but you never got the $5225 ?
